Whitley Streiber of 'Communion' fame

Streiber is the man who made getting abducted fashionable in his best-selling 'non-fiction book, 'Communion' in the early '80s.

From his recent blog and not the book:

The first step I took after the encounter was to go to my doctor. I had been warned earlier in the year by a member of Senator Kennedy's office staff that there was a rumor that the Administration might play some dirty tricks on me because of my book Warday, which had very much annoyed them. So I thought that it was possible that I had been assaulted. I also worried that, if not an assault, then there might be some organic brain disease involved. The idea of alien abduction initially did not cross my mind. But due to a book my brother had given me for Christmas, I subsequently became aware that some people believed in alien abductions.


So something unusual happened to him that he had no idea what it was - until his writer's imagination was seeded by a book he read. He pretends his books are autobiographical and investigative, but now we know what many suspected all along.

Sort of like how I was puzzled over the many single socks that have gone missing over the years, but I now I know they are aboard an alien craft. :cuckoo:
