Re: Milk is poisonous. [Re: pwnasaurus]

Just remembered, once when I went to the doctor for my asthma, he asked me how much milk I drink a day and me, thinking milk was doctor recommended and good, admitted that I drank nearly a gallon a day. He told me to cut back to one glass a day or none and that my asthma would improve if I did. Tried it for a while but never saw any improvements.

I don't drink it very often anymore anyway though.

Yes as a kid a I never drank milk as I was told it was bad for my asthma/dermatites. Well I eventually (after a few years) gave up on that as it never got any better, nor did it get any worse when I began drinking it again.

I'm sure in SOME people who are somewhat lactose intolerant it could affect their breathing but for most of us milk is a perfectly healthy part of a balanced diet.

There probably are things that are worse than milk... But milk is a staple of the north american diet listed as required in our food pyramid which is that only reason it is so scary...

What are the things you are referring to, and how am I butthurt?

No I'm not watching any of the videos.  I've been drinking a ton of milk my whole life, and I rarely get sick, I've never broken a bone, or had a cavity, and have a very muscular build doing a minimal amount of exercise.  I attribute some of that to milk due to lots of calcium + protein.  I ain't gonna stop, and there's no way you can tell me milk is making me unhealthy.

Pfft! You're defensiveness is interesting. No one is telling you to stop, or even listen, but I'm with TryTOfind here:

Because that's what you're doing.

I'm not against milk per se, I have a tall glass every now and again; but this processed animal tit juice we drink is not exactly how it's presented to you. That's all I'm on about.

Your view on milk is a typical one. But you're thing about calcium? Milk is a great source of calcium... It's also a great source of protein. But basically, the more animal protein you ingest, the more calcium is excreted.

Perfectly healthy? I wouldn't go that far. Nothing is perfectly healthy...
It's healthy enough for most people; for a little while, at least.

How often are you constipated? Scratch that, how old are you?

With a name like "pwnasaurus", Im'a go ahead and guess 18-23.

I don't know if milk is necessarily "poisonous" or not... I definitely know that it isn't as it's presented to you (which you seem to believe it is).

Constipated?  Never have ever been in my life.

I'm not being defensive - milk is fucking delicious, and I'm one of if not the healthiest person I know, so obviously it's working for me

Anything is unhealthy if you consume too much, but what I'm doing works for me.

I dont know if anyone in this thread has already made this point, I havnt looked through but...

Milk, in itself, is not poisenous, [its pasturised milk that is poisenous.

Milk, in its raw state, contains shit loads of vit C (from the grass), acidophelous (however you spell it) and enzymes that help your body process all the nutrients, and lactase (the missing enzyme required to digest the lactose).

Basically, the pasturization process (heating to high temperatures) cooks out all the goodness, so that all your left with is white shite that isnt really good for anyone.

Raw milk isnt illegal in the UK or some parts of US.  Here in the UK (and I think US rules might be similer in some states), you can only buy it from the actual farm it comes from.

It isn't my place to tell anyone to believe, but personally I think people should question the science behind what they are told before basing their lives around it.

And even if milk is absolutely fine for you, it is not part of a balanced diet... Never would be, it isn't required for life, and adding it to you diet doesn't balance anything. Neither is bread really, though bread concerns me a little bit less. The major problem is that the tastiest foods are often the least healthy, and the average person couldn't handle a truly "balanced" diet.

Good luck though pwnasaurus, I really do hope that shit works out for you man.
