So you can still suffer when you don't exist?

He's not saying that and you know it... It sure as shit isn't an IMPROVEMENT on "mental/physical health/well-being". A cessation would be accurate.

Then what is he saying?

And why can death not be an improvement over the state of living? Isn't the point of health to do what is best for the individual?

What would you say about a terminally ill cancer patient who was in serious pain constantly? Would you deny him the right to end his own life?

It's hard to tell because he hasn't elaborate to that extent so much yet...

I agree with you for the most part. I wouldn't deny him the right to end his own life if he was incessantly suffering on a physical level.

At least someone understands where I'm coming from.

I'm merely stating suicide is an end to mental and physical health, not an improvement. It's a different thing all together. An improvement would be improving ones physical and mental health. Suicide is just suicide.

Furthermore I am noticing that you seem to be changing the meaning of what I'm writing a bit, why is this? I never said "I do not believe anyone should ever kill themselves" as you are suggesting. I said "there are nearly always better options." In fact I said it twice, so I'm surprised you would have mis-read it. Although it's a controversial topic I happen to support euthanasia. Incurable depression is something that can be argued either way, how can we ever prove that a certain individual could NEVER be happy NO MATTER WHAT?

Anti-depressants are actually designed for people who are arguably like this. For most others there are safer, more long-term options. None of which I'm going to go in to here.

Next thing you changed - I never said someone should continue to suffer in order to satisfy the needs of others? You know that's not what I said at all, need I elaborate? Refer back to "there are nearly always better options" (NEARLY ALWAYS, just so we're on the same wave-length this time.)

Oh yeah and I apologise for that personal attack. Not that it's really an attack, I'm simply making an observation. None-the-less; sorry

Perhaps you will understand better if you are ever in such a horrible scenario yourself.

What you don't get is you aren't denying him anything by not making to information more readily available than it already it, you are in a way, influencing people to commit suicide.

Let me put it in a different perspective. Johnny has been trying very hard to get some things on track in his life but it is very hard he has been considering suicide regardless of his progress but he has actually been feeling a lot better lately and improving his life and at times even feeling good about himself and enjoying life. Johnny has been a member on shroomery for over a year and has always respected the shroomerites opinions. One day when Johnny is at his worst for whatever reason, maybe he has just been unstable and today is one of his lower days, he break down crying while on the forums and decides he wants to kill himself. He then sees this thread basically advertising "painless death" and figures to himself it is better than living in pain. BANG one life lost that was making process to actually enjoying life.

Think you seem to have convinced yourself that you and the other people in that forum are doing people a service by offering them information on how to kill themselves, but in reality you are only feeding your own needs by getting the information out there. If someone was serious about killing themselves it takes only a google search. Having the information on this website helps nobody, and could very possibly hurt people. I see your side of it and if someone had absolutely no option but suicide to end their pain and life could not be enjoyable they are able and entitled to take their own life. However the information is already available and anyone truly serious about it can find the information in a couple minutes on google as I side. Risking sounding disrespectful, please stop kidding yourself. You are not helping anyone by telling them how to end their own life painlessly.

Thank you. I thought I was the only one to find the painless suicide threads inappropriate for this forum.

Suicide has been around a lot longer than the Shroomery. If people decide it's what they're going to do, they'll do it regardless. However, people looking on a thread for "physical/mental health/well-being" should have access to less life-destroying (no pun intended...) options. I mean look at all the posts those threads get. It's pretty much advertising "hey, this is your best option". More people posted on some suicide thread than the thread about "pain free living - best way to live" . ? ?

You know, cannabis was used to make varnish and paint.

Some fats are used to make TNT!

Would you stop using weed and fats just because they have other industrial uses?

Come on... Caseine is a protein that has many uses, that's all.

Raw milk is a very healthy food. People who are lactose intolerant usually have no problems with raw milk. Pasteurization destroys the enzymes found in milk that allow it to be digestible.

Saturated fat is not bad for you. Quite the contrary. The idea that saturated fat = bad has been long touted but never really backed by much good science.

Kefir made from Organic Raw Milk (Goat or Cow) is possibly another healthy food. I would suggest people not write off milk completely.

Don't get caught in the trap of one diet fits all. I would not be here were it not for my ancestors eating fucktons (that's the technical word for it) of fat fried in lard with dollops of cream and a little bit of sugar and a lot of alcohol. Except the Quaker side of my family. I doubt they drank that much.

I couldn't agree more. Many times I have stumbled upon health research or some health guru pushing some diet as the cure all with weak supporting evidence. With food there are more opinions presented as facts than any other field of study. Look how many times research scientist have concluded one food causes "X" disease only to claim 20 years later that the food is actually healthy. Plus the unique biochemistry of each individual makes it nearly impossible to make broad claims about one food being "good" and another being "bad".

Now that I think of it - Yeah, I love Milk, I drink milk almost every day, and I usually guzzle entire bottles down, but I have noticed a difference in my breathing and asthma varying from after drinking the stuff.

But even so, pretty much everything in the modern day can cause cancer, so I couldn't care less, really, if I get cancer it'd most likely be from whatever else I've got around me. -- Really informative, though! Really opened my eyes into the matter, explained some things I never even thought of, along with being very interesting reading and listening into.

However, I'll never give up my milk and ice-cream, even if someone told me it was made out of animal faeces or human waste.

Often after I drink milk I can hear mucus in my lungs and my breathing is definitely affected. In all honesty it probably affects everyone this way to some extent most people just either don't notice, don't care, or come up with the answer you did.

I never hear mucus in m y lungs, and I probably guzzle back ~1L of milk a day.

Shit's delicious.  I also drink skim generally so the fat argument doesn't stand.

No I'm not watching any of the videos.  I've been drinking a ton of milk my whole life, and I rarely get sick, I've never broken a bone, or had a cavity, and have a very muscular build doing a minimal amount of exercise.  I attribute some of that to milk due to lots of calcium + protein.  I ain't gonna stop, and there's no way you can tell me milk is making me unhealthy.

Lol, people like you don't need to know anyways. If you want to live in your own little niche, this comfort zone to which you have become so accustomed you don't really matter in the grand scheme of things.

I wish you a happy life and a fulfilling existence
