Milk is poisonous. * 1
    #14946772 -

Well not literally, but EXTREMELY bad for you. I have 1000 different reasons and some sources printed out, even references to studies that have been conducted.

Here are a couple good links:
http://www.rense.com/general26/truth.htm

http://www.notmilk.com/kradjian.html

Here are some videos on the subject:

http://www.notmilk.com/kradjian.html

Most people who think it is good for them or not affecting them have never tried going without it. If you want to make the point that milk isn't effecting you go a month without it and do a cleanse during that time. THEN speak that it isn't affecting you.

Sorry I couldn't be more attentive to this thread today, A whole bunch of work piled up and it is about time to sleep now

I'm with you... They say everyone is lactose intolerant - it's just to what degree the individual is.

Personally, I don't drink milk for the same reason I keep my red meat intake low... It plugs muh shit up.

Casein (found in milk) is used in industrial adhesives, for crying out loud!

Why don't you first tell us in what way it's extremely bad for you. I was always told it's healthy. I drink a lot of milk daily, I'm physically healthy. I don't have high cholesterol and I'm DEFINITELY not fat. They're the only two health hazards I could think of...

Anyway I'm interested. Sources please.

yeh i've heard a lot of bad things myself. i try to drink almond milk, but lately i've still been drinking a lot of cow's milk as i can't afford all my own food yet. and i feel like i need the cow's milk to provide enough of certain vitamins/minerals since the rest of my diet isn't exactly ideal.

i hear in general though, almond, coconut, and organic goat's milk are 3 great milk substitues. soy milk isn't very good, and i can't really remember about rice milk. it might not be that great either.

you never had any problems focusing or anything? i personally couldn't handle cow's milk or at least regular formula as an infant, my mother had to give me soy milk. but ever since i've been drinking loads of cow milk too. they say cow's milk is the #1 food to avoid if you exhibit any symptoms of add/adhd, (which i do) but idk i've yet to experiment with cutting it out of my diet completely

why exactly are we all lactose intolerant nowadays anyway, if that's the case? does it have something to do with how all of our grains, or at least the glutinous ones, are genetically modified now? is organic cow's milk healthier?

Haven't us silly humans subsisted off milk for a long time now?

So was I... That doesn't mean it is. I'm not so sure about it being a poison as the OP is suggesting... could be... but it's not simply "good" for you. It's processed... a lot of additives.... hormones....

It also isn't natural to drink cow's milk... Cow's milk is used to help turn a 50 pound calf into a 2000 pound adult cow. But even if we were to drink human milk, it's already served it's purpose. Being a full-grown human being, it's not exactly natural to drink milk.

Ever questioned it though? Good, why? Because it's a good source of protein? Calcium? Vitamin D? So are tons of other foods.

You should look into "casein", at least.

As stated above, so are tons of other foods. It's one of the main causes for constipation...

The biggest concern, I find, with milk is the processing/additives and the casein.

Casein is the main protein in cow's milk... It's used to make industrial adhesives if that helps.

Well, milk is biologically designed to turn a 50 pound calf into an 800 pound giant in just a few years.  Can't be too great for you if you'd like to stay thin.

Some more fun... Taken from Wikipedia... I don't want to hear it... The only reason your teachers told you not to use it is because people CAN alter the info.... That's why it's considered 'unreliable'... But have you ever heard of mods? They exist on wikipedia.... And this bit of info has been there for awhile:

Keep in mind, this is strictly to do with casein.....

Cancer

T. Colin Campbell's The China Study (2006)one of the largest nutritional studies ever conducted, describes a direct correlation between casein administered to rats and the promotion of cancer cell growth when exposed to carcinogens. One group of rats was put on a 5% protein diet and another group on a 20% protein diet. Regardless of the amount of aflatoxin (a potent carcinogen) administered to these rats, none of the rats on 5% protein developed foci, precursors to cancerous cell growth, and every rat on 20% protein developed the pre-cancer foci. Other studies conducted by Dr. Campbell on humans confirmed this correlation between the amount of protein consumed and the promotion of cancerous cell growth. Basically, he discovered that cancer growth could be turned on and off by adjusting the amount of animal protein in the diet. When [20] A 2001 study suggests another milk protein, whey protein, but not casein, may play a protective role against colon tumors in rats.[21] According to a study from the Australian Dairy Council, casein has antimutagenic effects.[22]

I weigh 60 - 65kg. I drink full cream milk only. Coffee or two every day, cereal at least once a day (often twice), I mix some in when I drink protein powder and lastly I often drink a glass of milk at night time a bit before I'm going to bed. Definitely doesn't prevent me from staying thin I'd say.

Anyway, I'm still interested in those sources if you have em. I'm interested to know how it's bad for you, is it just that Casein stuff or is there more to it?

I was in the middle of writing my post when I had to head out that is why I didn't give any examples.

First of all milk has a ton of additives these days, do you really think milk comes out pure white every time? Go to a farm and see the milk. The cows are unhappy, unhealthy and any unhappy or unhealthy animal produces a lower quality product, whether it be milk, eggs, or meat.  (A reason free roam eggs are better for you)

Not to mention what the other guy said about casein being used as an adhesive, specifically wood glue. It has been proven in double blind studies to cause osteoporosis (I will try and find a link to the study I read my house has been completely reorganized lately).

Yes it contains calcium, and yes calcium is good for your bones, but getting your vitamins from a source people would take in natural and are able to absorb is important and there is a more usable for of calcium in certain leafy green vegetables, like spinach or radish greens.

Milk is the food that takes the longest to digest although there are a lot of lies surrounding this so I don't feel comfortable stating an exact amount of time until I have read it in a study. I do know however that when I drink milk, my joints begin to hurt during exercises, I poo less and I begin to get sluggish among other psychological effects.

I have more facts written down and I reallllly need to find my notes :P

You just told us that:  it has addetives, it has caesin (i'm sure there are equally bad things in lots of other food products) and that it slows your digestive system down.

So, start posting some relevant things, or else you're guilty of the thing you were just complaining about in the other thread:  the quality of P&MWB going to shit - full of false & unsupported claims.

I wnat PROOF :kingcrankey: or at least studies.  Not quick paragraphs summarizing things everyone already knows.

And i'm curious (to those who know):  whether Skim milk is any better than 1% or 2%.

You really can't go wrong with hemp milk :sun:

I've heard before that it's not good for you and all the info about it being good is just propaganda generated by farmers and such.

But what's it's relation to ADD/ADHD?

Im pretty sure all kinds natural things are used to make industrial components. Just because something is taken from Milk to make an adhesive, doesnt make it dangerous; there are probably many steps in making Casein into a superstrong bonding agent. So what.

Milk is a great source of protein, and other vitamins/minerals. If you are worried about growth hormones and all that other crap that are said to be present in milk, look for the bottles that say not from cows treated with hormones, or all natural. I can only speak from my own experience, but I am a very active person, and milk is a great source of energy; I never get sick from drinking too much (highly lactose tolerant), and it provides energy, doesnt sap me of it.

If it was poisonous I doubt cows would be producing it for their offspring. The only thing I don't like is that all milk in the US has to be pasteurized. I would rather drink purely natural milk, in which case I would drink all natural goats milk if it were available, which it is not.

Lol meams, rage all you like. I said I was looking for my notes, I have studies and references and blah blah blah... Also I have studies showing how the nutrients in milk are mostly unabsorbable and how they clog you up in ways that make your body less efficient at absorbing other nutrients....

Unfortunately I have been buisy/exhausted today, I thought I would have more time to put into this but I didn't, ANYWAYS...

Here is one ok link with some information I will however find my notes.

http://www.rense.com/general26/truth.htm

Edit: Also meams my major point was that people should NOT be making good ways to commit suicide readily available and they should NOT be sharing information they do not know for a fact to be true. I have read the studies and done the research. So even if I just posted my original quote I would not fall in the category you seem to so willingly wish to throw me into. Also this information (if taken seriously) can not hurt anyone, it can only help people.... As opposed to incorrect diet or workout recommendations.
