It has been reported that some victims of torture, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not wake up. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren’t being tortured. The only way that they realized they needed to wake up was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to wake up. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and please wake up.

Yeah, you do get the nutrients. Your body just can't digest the sugars themselves really well.

Real cheese, yogurt shouldn't give you any problems though. I'm lactose too.

Try raw (unpasterurised) milk.  Contains the lactase needed to digest lactose. Most lacto intolerant's get on fine with raw milk.  Gets a bad press, but its kind of another gov'mt b/s thing.  Yeah yeah, in the 60's there were a couple of dairy's who did not keep their pipes clean, hense, milk containing diseases...instead creating better regulated / cleaner dairies, they just banned raw milk altogether.  The thing is, the ban is not really needed to day, as cleanliness is much better regulated.  Raw milk is full of good shit that gets cooked away when its heated through pasturisation I highly recommend googling it.

Goats milk is good for lactose intolerant people too.

True that.  But also, things aren't THAT clean today...

Also true, but I would think that the producers who specialise in raw milk retail keep a cleaner environment than the others, after all, their business and reputation depends on it.

There's a few farmers out here that offer it. I'm sure wherever you are there's gotta be someone who has access to milk. Check online, or a co-op/whole foods.

I challenge you to challenge yourself more! When you feel complacent and ready to hang it up, challenge yourself to get over it! If you fail, don't look at it as you didn't succeed, look at it as you would a rock face you're trying to climb. Stand back, wayyyy back, and look at it and plot another path. If you can't find one, shuffle down the way a little, a little change of scenery or a view from a different angle may give you the insight you need.

Farmers markets are the best places to get it.

Some farmers also do long distance delivery these days too.

Try drinking unpasteurised milk. It still has intact enzymes which will break down the lactose for you.

Raw and unpasteurized are the same thing, just incase anyone was wondering.

If I had to choose between supermarket (meaning pasturized and therefore nuked of nutrients) cows and supermarket goats, I would choose the goats.  Goats milk is reputed to not cause problems to people with dairy allergies and I have even come across some things about it being really good for people who suffer from eczema.
