Girl you need to eat more calories.

Your carbs/fat/protein intake is great, but you need more calories.

If your exercising/yoga/whatever 5 times a week and you aren't getting more than 1500 calories a day it isn't healthy. Try to get to 1800 at least everyday.. I'm sure you can find a way to get a bit more in

ok, so everyone i've talked to across the board has said i need to up my caloric intake to around 1800 calories a day.

i can't really wrap my mind around the idea that i need to eat more, but i believe you guys.

but how?

on the exercise recommendations.  i decided to add a 30 minute daily hoop session/ab work out as soon as i wake up in the morning.  i can do resistance training WITH my hoop, believe it or not, there are a bunch of different arm isolations i can do, plus waist hooping really fast in both directions is a great core work out especially for the obliques....

thanks everyone for the input.

hopefully i will be at least in semi bikini shape for miami

Your body has a minimum intake for your body to function properly.. (for girls its ~1750)

That is just the BARE minimum.

If your exercising, your taking away calories that could of spent for organ functions/etc as well as body recovery

The more calories you get, the more energy given to the body

If you had a good workout routine fat gain should not even be an issue.

Sounds like you have a great diet, just eat a bit more fruit or something daily and you'll be groovy

I don't 100% know what I'm talking about, but it could be possible that adding meat, seafood/fish, milk, or eggs to your diet could help. I've heard that vegetable protein sources don't have the same profile of amino acids that meat does, & that meat is much more "complete". Like I said, I'm half talking out of my ass so you might want to google that (if eating meat/eggs/milk is even an option for you).

i think you might be right.

i talked to my friend about it.  she just started p90x, and she had to start eating meat again.

im going to start eating eggs on a daily basis and see what happens....

Not all red meats have complete proteins, but they do have essential proteins

Eggs, fish and milk all have complete proteins though. So any of that is good choices
