People who don't crush cans

Don't you crush your beer and/or soda cans before you throw them away?  I can't stand it when people throw the can in the trash or recycle bin without crushing the can first.  I crush mine down as tight as possible.  It saves space in the bin.  I can fit four times as many cans in a recycling bin as someone who doesn't crush.  What kind of can disposer are you?

I take my cans to the bottle return section of my grocery store and receive back the ten cents deposit.

Okay, that's the one exception for not crushing cans.  In that case you have to keep them as is.

Making the most of my space is a must, but I take my box of recycling out to the recycle bin when full...so no need to crush.  I may do the half ass can crush in my hand and squeeze the sides in, but that's about it.  I tried the can to the head once, yeah, there was blood...and yeah, i was drunk...good times.

I crush 'em and take them to the recycling place for moneys.

What I don't get is people who don't collapse cardboard boxes before putting them in the bins.  Boxes take up hella room.

I don't crush them, I have a huge recycle bin anyways.

Also in Oregon if you want to recycle for the deposit and get some change back, you can't crush them. You have to insert them one by one into the damn machine for it to read the bar code. Stupid shit I tell ya. I used to throw them away instead of dealing with that bullshit. Now we just have a big recycle bin for them to take for me.

Bring your bottles to a redemption center.

It's not that much but it's better than nothing, I usually get 7 or 8 bucks a week from all my cans and bottles.

if im at home i put them as is in a bag and at the end of the week i hang the bag up on the front gate and one of the homeless people in my neighborhood comes around and grabs it
they need the deposit money more than i

There's no way I could drink more cans than my recycle bin could hold so it doesn't really matter to me.

I used to take them to recycling centers for cash but now that it's always 110 degrees outside there's no way I'm waiting in line to do that.

I usually crush the sides out of habit, but I don't flatten them. I don't pay much attention to it either way. I've never had more recyclables than what could fit in my bin.
