Warning labels

Put up some new patio blinds this morning. Each one had 4 labels plus 2 8" X 12" sheets in four languages warning that children might get caught in the strings and suffocate.

Is this really necessary? Why do some innocent products like this come with warnings, but guns and knives and automobiles do not?

I think covering the planet with patio blinds without warnings would be a good way to separate the intelligent children from the 'tards and thin the herd. :tongue:

still amazes me that there is a label on the side of peanuts that says' caution, may contain nut traces':facepalm:

I've always wondered why English food comes without a warning. How can such a great nation be so clueless about food combining and  preparation? Is it some twisted way of getting back at the French?

most uk foods come with idiot labels now. no chance of poisoning the french anymore. although we do try to poison the scratters. (scratter. noun. Every nation in Africa uses English as an official language, and anyone educated in Africa is as likely to read English as any African language.

the warning are not there to protect consumers. They are there to protect the company from being sued by retards.

ever heard of the guy who sued someone when they injured themselves while breaking into a house? Ive heard different stories like this and I don't know if they are true or just urban myths. But they highlight the ridiculousness of modern legal system
