Dreams with black dogs and black apparition.

I woke last night from several dreams where I found myself in a long hallway of what seemed like an old hotel. Suddenly at the end of the hall a black apparation would appear with two or three dogs that looked like large rottweilers but all black. Instantly the apparition would speed down the hall at me and one of the dogs would collide with me at my chest. Felt very physical. Then the apparition would speed back down the hall but the dog that hit me would stay behind. The first couple of dreams I found myelf running down the hall following and trying to give the dog back, but I'd wake before I'd reach the end of the hall. After dreaming the same thing two more times, I stopped the chase thinking the dog that stayed behind was trying to protect me. I had several bad experiences with a black apparition about 7 years ago, but it wasn't while sleeping, so I take this very seriously. Does anyone have a clue what this might be about?

What were the moods of it? Did you feel fearful or abundant when the dog stayed behind? Was the old hotel anywhere familiar (from a past dream or reality)?
So the apparition just came around the corner with three dogs, left one with you and left with the other two dogs? Does the number three mean anything about people you know?
Also, the apparition experience you had, did it seem like it was shrouded by it's own doing or another purpose? Did this experience resonate with you in fear or in something else?
Black dogs I have heard little about but I have heard from an elder that it is a sign of someone being on bad terms with you if the dog is attacking you or growling at you to fen you from moving past it's "territory". Your dream doesn't sound like this to me so maybe other details would help and I could be of some assistance?
And I am fairly new here as well but welcome anyways
Love and blessings.

Thank you for the welcome Teknix. And thank you for your thoughtful questions OneU. I'll do my best to respond.
I felt no fear during the first few dreams. I thought it was trying to pass a dog off on me, thus my trying to return it or give it back. The physical feeling of the dog hitting my chest was beyond dreamlike. When I'd wake I could still feel it. After awakening the second time, I remembered my fear of a black aparition several years ago. Then I started to fear what was going on. Got concerned that I would pass in my sleep and the dog was preventing it. In the third and fourth dreams, I did not try to return the dog. I just watched the aparition disappear around the corner way down the hall and to the right. I'm confused about the number of dogs, either two altogether or three. It may have changed from two to 3 from dream to dream. After the dog would hit me with great force, it would just stand in front of me looking up at me as if it were waiting to be pet.
The setting was odd. I work build product home shows and it was a mix of an auditorium type setting with a show going on, tied to my company offices (which are not linked together) and then either a main floor hallway or lower level which were both red with gold accents. Heavy red tapestries like I would imagine from the late 1800's, and dimly lit. In the last dream I remember descending an open stair case in very heavy dark wood ballusters and newels and turning to face down the hallway when the scene then played over.
The past aparition was a story too long for this paragraph. It was very evil and it was keeping me from a child that was communicating with me. A young girl who was killed in an auto accident in the early 70's on a highway adjacent to a property I was working on. Thus I reveal that I have a gift for communicating. I don't seek it, but I don't shut it out. This spirit was dangerous, and I actually feared for my life. It did try to kill me. It did not show itself in dreams, but in full daylight. And it would become physical with heavy odor and breath.

Osirus the black, the "resurrected ancient Egyptian god of the dead" accompanied by the "Fu Dogs", a recurring theme in Chinese culture, has the positive attribute of bringing happiness and good fortune. Neither of what you've described seem negatively oriented to me. The dog seems a gift to you from a returned benevolent presence.
May I ask of what descent are you? Egyptian or Asian perhaps?

Interesting dream and experience with the previous entity. Have you ever entertained the idea that the denizen was a fragmented part of yourself? I would look into psychic self defense if the problem persists. Seems like you know how to handle yourself well though.
