So on I couldn't find Chico street as you described it realfuzzhead. There was one but it was on the outskirts of town, definitely not running through the downtown area. So I figure that it is just called Chico street by the locals?

im going to be homeless in cali for a little bit this summer and after reading through the info in this thread and all the advice that i got in my "homeless in california" thread. im leaning heavily towards moving to chico.

humboldt is cool as far as all the cheap and abundant weed goes and the lower cost of living, but i cant stand all the rain.

My buddy was dead set on socal when we first started planning the move. But after searching around on the net for a month or so and only finding high priced places or cheap places far away from work. Even chico is gonna be to far away from where his job would be. I keep telling him that doesn't matter but he wants that job security. I mean what's the point of going that far to still be restricted? he agrees but he's hesitant to leave everything here and start from scratch there, which I understand and can empathize with. Both of us only have jobs, not careers, and a job is a job as long as it pays the bills right?:shrug:

sadly everything that we want from cali is not within his work range and chico isn't next to the beach. So we gotta pick and choose what is more important to us in cali.

I'd check out the Sac town suburbs mentioned in the other thread (e.g. Folsom, Roseville, Rocklin, Citrus Heights, Orangevale, Antelope).
I'm sure there's more too...

Those would be a prime spot if you're working in Woodland.
Still a 45 min. commute though... :suicide:
