How is that different than our innate nurturing behaviors?

Because ours aren't as ingrained and must be taught. Without being taught human females would be almost incapable of successfully raising a child. And no, I do not know of any examples of feral human females having given birth. Call it a hunch since there seem to be so many that can't handle the job even with being taught. There is a declining reliance on instinct and increased reliance on learned behavior as one moves along the primate ladder.
