most prints are contaminated. You should have a look at some of the 'sterile' prints people send under a microscope!

If most sporeprints are contaminated then how does it not contaminate the substrate? Does most of the time the spores germinate quicker than the contams or something?

if i bought a print from a respected vendor i would be fairly certain it is sterile. if it is from a trade or free spore ring then there is a good chance it is contamed. joshua has a good thread in the growlogs about growing from wild (traded) prints. i usually take as small an amount as i can and put it on 5 jars of agar. keep doing this until it doesnt contaminate and then do a wedge transfer. scrape as few spores as you can since it will lessen the chances of contams.

i think so i know a guy who bought one and tried making syringes and jars did,t do anything except stink

does anyone else think that this whole contamination thing is just some Government propaganda, so we'd be all parinoid about contams and thus introduce them to our musheys?

I bought 2 prints for ?15 from a vendor a week ago, they were both contaminated BADLY and my complaint was never acknowledged. This is a bad time for me right now
