Comes out saying how wrong this TSA bullshit is, how the big sis big brother tattletale society they are trying to set up with the DHS screens in public places is fucked, he's against the HUGE military spending and BS wars, he's heading the committee for the Federal Reserve (and wrote the book END THE FED!) and hopefully can kill that monster organization, AND HE IS GOING TO TRY AND BLOCK THE RENEWAL OF THE PATRIOT ACT AND FIGHT AGAINST THIS GROWING BEAST OF A POLICE STATE!!!!  This man knows how to save this country!

Sadly he is demonized by the media and both sides of the political parties.
I guess he is just to radical for the all the norms.

My old boss was interested in him during the dabates as I had mentioned him. Then he said we need to get out of Iraq and my old boss is like WTF screw that guy. Fast forward a year or two and my old boss is like, fuck that war.

Just shows how hard it is to really make change, not just leave you with some.

I wonder what tools we will see running for pres in the near future. I just realized now that it is this "close" to 2012 we should see it start soon.

Given that we are and have been for several decades the finest example of human freedom and accomplishment in the history of mankind I reject your call for us to clean our house impeccably first.  The perfect being the enemy of the good and all that.

As to the rest of your comment i get where you are coming from. The only thing is while the states are a pretty good example there is still work to do.
I guess I was not really going for the personal freedom aspect though. More on fixing the rest of our crap before we spend money to fix some other countries crap. We really can't... or I guess we really should not take over a country to fix there government(Iraq) while ours is pretty screwed up. That's all.

I just see us trying to fix another country is just a way to protect our interests and while that is decent in a way, it can be very bad in many others.

I'm not going to take a side on this issue, but I did research my choices very well last presidential election. You may be trying to be purposefully spiteful. If thats the case I apologize, but you exercise a fair bit of ignorance on his position.

He does indeed say leave it to the state but follows this with his reasoning. Foremost, he does not believe in abortion. Yes, for religious reasons. He believes this is a local issue, and not one designed for a federal authority. That his, or one individuals opinion should not be treated as some whole scale application to all.

I think you can find a better point of contention than his stance on abortion. The stance he has not forced onto anyone. But to say he dodges a question is woefully unfair. Perhaps you have an issue with individual freedoms and the rights of states. This is not uncommon in todays political discourse, but I feel your inarticulate position on this issue equally troubling as your notion of what consists whence dodging a question.

Everything I've ever seen from Ron Paul makes complete sense.

All our politicians in Australia are retarded, there's no equivalent of Ron Paul over here, you have your choice of retarded party A or retarded party B.

I don't disagree with the leave it to the state idea whatsoever, im talking about his own personal belief on a given subject which i believe he dodges.  I used the abortion example because that was fresh in my mind.  A better example would be
The msnbc guy was quite the dick.  "Is Rush wrong, is he wrong, is he wrong?"  Try an find a debate or interview where Ron Paul comes off bad (flips out, sounds irrational), i have yet to find one.  Though people do test him.
