Is this a contamination?

New Question: Is it possible for myceliuem(?) to grow over the yeast and grow healthily, or is it pointless to let them keep growing. Because they've exploded in growth and it seems pretty healthy atm.

All the spore syringes would be bunk right?

Would it be impossible to produce anything sterile after my bottom floor flooding?

where did you get the syringes.
and how were they stored
and did you flame your needle between each jar?

On top of foil in a plastic bag in an envelople

I followed the procedure, that's why I'm thinking that when i made the syringes, I was in my kitchen , which had been flooded before. Using the not so best still air chamber.

Read that when floods occur it can make houses a fun house for mold.

Just clean your bathroom really well and use a glovebox.

That way it cuts back on the air currents that blow mold spores in your work area.

The fifth picture is the one that i showed in link. The growth overcame the yellow yeast.

All those jars look fine to me but you should keep an eye on the fifth one...the pics in the link don't look good. It's very unlikely the mycelium over-took the contam.

Did all the jars look like the pics in the link?

No only two of them had slight yellow discoloration, one worse then the other. I didn't think it was very likely for it to over come the contamination, but i have high hopes for my little babies.

The question now is if i should inject my other cakes with the other syringe i made along with the one to make these. Think i might have some success?

Give it a shot. The problem may not lay with the syringe.

You won't know unless you try.
