Frankly, they have the forum layout right, good default skin, and good optional skins. There is slightly more secure encryption for your messages without any hassle you would go through to do it yourself and with say, email.

There are so many white/yellow or some funky color forums out there or just cheap generic ones that are just not pleasurable to look at, it may seem little but everyone notices this at some level.

The content of the forum is huge, there had to be advertising when it was starting out, but now it is at critical mass. There are enough people here that know about what they do and the do's and don't's if you want to stay legal. That type of knowledge breeds some sort of respect for the site itself and brings in new people by invites. With enough posts a lot of answers you might type into google show up as links to posts here.

I am sure I did not mention some other nice things here like the free/trade threads etc but they are all part of why this site is better than bluelight or some other forum.
