Very cool.. brings back memories of living in my van, and my friends' RVs.

It makes you realize how conditioned you've been, yet also how you're capable of adapting to being thrown out of your element.

I think we forget that like anything in nature, we still have that ability within us.

I would really like to try something like Arden mentioned- living in the wilderness in a tent or hemp grocery bag or something. :strokebeard:

I've often revered the part-time gypsy lifestyle in my past.

These days, i have a nice home in a quiet neighbourhood, in a big bustling city, and wouldn't trade the structure and stability i have right now, for anything. The wandering lifestyle really lends itself to a debilitating mental crutch. I think people that live it too long, often get left behind socially. To each their own though.

Not to say, i won't be sleeping in ditches while traveling the world in the future though.

A powerful psychedelic might help me "settle in" more, but at the same time I'm not sure I want to.  I feel like I was more in harmony with the natural world when I lived in the RV.

Take some acid and see what your mind REALLY wants. I think that'll be helpful in clearing your head.

The change is hard to deal with, but I find that I just have to make my apartments/houses
more fun!  I turn my living space into conceptual art pieces, and that end up taking up a lot of
time that I could be bored.

Yeah, that's the idea I've been having.  Well, I have all this space...I have wanting to make huge wall maps for my novel.  And I have space for an altar now, which I am thrilled about.

Alters' are super important to me as well!  Even in my little spaced car/house
I had what I would consider an alter.  Spatial cleansing and a place to meditate
every day is what makes me feel "at home" or "at peace".

I find that if I don't incorporate ritual into my life that I spiritually fall to the wayside!
And the wayside is totally not as fun.

My wiccan friends think it's hilarious that I conduct rituals and meditate and pray
and practice witnessing energy and life (they say I am there "non-witch Witch friend" hah!)
How can you not notice the beauty and majesty of it all?  How can you not be
amazed if you take the time to look and participate?

Women look at themselves and they seem utterly human, when looking at men they see proud
GODS.
