Yeah, but driving to and from Bonnaroo would be kind of sucky, too.

Capt Kirk, have you tried the little private places? We found one a couple of years ago that was really nice and fairly priced.

An RV is nice if it's going to be a really long drive and you have a bunch of people who want to throw down. Although, it is nice to have a personal shower and turlet at huge festies like roo but I'd rather save the loot and spoil myself once I get there. I prefer dirty and homeless to broke.

On storing pedro tea...

Brewmaster: Well, the mescaline will still be in there, but I'd be afraid of it conjealing and trying to escape after it grew in size from eating all the other shit in my fridge, and possibly my dogs if it got out.

Pithlit: sentient drugs, now that is an idea ...

OneMoreRobot: Idea? It's a fuckin' reality. You know Salvia? Nigga stole my TV.

I also looked into renting an RV for my first trip to Bonnaroo. All the quotes I received were gonna cost me about 1k and that didn't include the rediculous cost to fuel the gas engine. I didn't see any that were diesel powered.

Although I'd like to have my own private shower and toilet, I can do without.

I hear they provide showers for a fee? I don't mind paying a few bucks to have a shower.

The cheapest one I was able to find was that KOA Cruise America business.  Still way too expensive for a shitty RV.  I could pay for the nicest hotel room in Manchester for the daily cost of that RV.

I think camping will be quite the experience though.  As long as I'm able to have a shower when I feel I need one I'll be happy

Well, i suppose ill share the RV idea my friends and i had a few years ago.  Even though we didn't rent one it would save people a lot of money and it's a pretty simple idea if you can book one.

Search for RV places in nashville, or a surrounding city no more then 2 hrs from the rv rental place.  Drive your car to the rental place, pick up the RV, drive the 2 hrs to roo, and then 2 hrs back to your car when you're done.  Not only does this save on fuel charges, you most likely won't put more then 240 miles on the RV.

Doing this will save you a shit ton of money, problem is if a million other people have thought of this and booked it earlier then you, you're going to have a fucking hard time finding one

You people and your damn showers. Is it so hard to go a few days all sweaty, sticky, and smelly?

you don't have to have a shower to enjoy roo. and nobody cares what you look or smell like. go camping for 3 days, get dirty, listen to bands, party like crazy. Save the shower for when you get home. just my $0.02

its not the shower, its the AC and water proof living that saves you at roo. Anyone who's been knows that after 2 hrs in that sun you've caught a serious tan and are really feeling the heat. The heat got to be too opressive, not being able to sleep well also drains the fuck out of you making the 1 mile death march to centeroo that much less appealing.

Normally i'd never consider renting an RV for a festival, but after my one and only year there i'd never go back without one. Besides, roo has been going down the shitter more and more every year. There's probably only 2 or 3 bands id be interested in seeing. Definitely doesnt make me want to spend 200 bucks on a ticket and then another 500 to survive for a few days.

Yea, actually, for me it is.

Considering the summer heat and humidity and mud all over the place, I just figured I would be much more comfortable if I were able to clean myself up once in awhile. To me, that would lead to a much better experience.

I'm not sure what's so enjoyable about being stinky, sticky, and dirty. I'm not concerned with what other people think about me - it's for my own personal comfort.

Yes, what direction will you be coming from? I will get the # for this rental place down here and I will see if they have any for rent and how much. We are only 2 1/2 hours southwest from Manchester.
