Controlling Reality
    #13414765 -

so i realized that life is really a dream, that when you sleep and dream, you can awake in your dream, and then make your dreams come true. And so reality, waking life, is just really a bigger dream, and that life is just a series of dreams in different layers of abstractions, and now I am sad because I have found I can make reality become my dream, and have anything I want to, with enough will, be true, but I am not sure really if everything is just determined that way to begin with, and that nothing really ever changes. And I think when people die, they just realize, that they are dreaming and move on. And I think that may be the case, that I am dead but have refused to accept it, and still want to live here on earth but I am really supposed to have accepted I have ascended to next level of reality and no longer belong here.

Nothing ever really changes.

I realize you know, I was supposed to die 17 years ago on this very day, but I choose not to. I seriously broke the machine of reality by this, and the people who killed me, all feared and killed each other because they could not kill me. You can't kill what is already dead, but I am alive. And so now I see, my anger that caused me to continue, has infected the machine like a virus.

Nothing ever really changes but change.

what is real?

zhuangzi has also had this revelation:

Quote:
Once Zhuangzi dreamt he was a butterfly, a butterfly flitting and fluttering around, happy with himself and doing as he pleased. He didn't know he was Zhuangzi. Suddenly he woke up and there he was, solid and unmistakable Zhuangzi. But he didn't know if he was Zhuangzi who had dreamt he was a butterfly, or a butterfly dreaming he was Zhuangzi. Between Zhuangzi and a butterfly there must be some distinction! This is called the Transformation of Things

"If real is what you can feel, smell, taste and see, then 'real' is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain." - MORPHEUS

ive had this thought/feeling before.. sometimes it seems as though i have already died but refuse to accept it.. i resist it.. and that the events that take place in my life and the universe as a whole are both guiding me to this realization and to face and accept death...

well it used to be in my dreams, people would come and go and never listen to me, or do what i thought was the right thing to do. But now they do the things I thought they should, like a glitch in the matrix, I convince them. But still i do not control them, it's only i see that was what they were supposed to do.

Everything happens because it was supposed to happen like that, and nothing ever changes.

i liek this passage from philip k. dick's  "How to Build a Universe That Doesn't Fall Apart Two Days Later"

Quote:
I once wrote a story about a man who was injured and taken to a hospital. When they began surgery on him, they discovered that he was an android, not a human, but that he did not know it. They had to break the news to him. Almost at once, Mr. Garson Poole discovered that his reality consisted of punched tape passing from reel to reel in his chest. Fascinated, he began to fill in some of the punched holes and add new ones. Immediately, his world changed. A flock of ducks flew through the room when he punched one new hole in the tape. Finally he cut the tape entirely, whereupon the world disappeared. However, it also disappeared for the other characters in the story... which makes no sense, if you think about it. Unless the other characters were figments of his punched-tape fantasy. Which I guess is what they were.

Reality is set by rules, all these rules determine what will happen, such as gravity; and what happens happens because it all follow those rules. But the rules allow for that to be broken, and people can act freely. But most people never excericise their freedom so they just follow along with what was determined to happen and behave predictably. But every human being does have free will, true free will, but very few actually use it. And so that is what I mean, by saying I convince them, they already had the choice to act freely but thought, they could not.

See if I knew you well, and could observe you for some time, I could tell how you would react and what you would do in almost any situation. Now people can act freely but most do not. Nothing changes but change. Freedom then is acting on the rules to produce a change in behavior. So you can break the rules but still be governed by them, because it is inherent to the rules that change can occur and people can act freely but most never do.

It's called anticipation, it's a survival mechanism we all have and it's usually more developed by those who live in areas where split second decisions are the difference between life and death.  In a given scenario where we must make a choice there are only so many possibilities to choose from, and yes if you know a person's behavior and can read people well than it is easier to anticipate their reaction, but notice how you said "almost any situation", it would be impossible to be correct 100% of the time as there are simply too many variables.

Life is a dream but its real.  Its non-dual.  People that think that they can control everything are in the a rude awaking, it doesn't work that way. You have to work with it and at the same time it will work for you.  Try to find the right balance.

It's not 'real' in the sense it has no consequences, and/as it's only occurring in consciousness. This 'objective material world' idea is a myth like the flat Earth.

Thoughts, if pursued diligently, will eventually manifest. The most powerful force in the universe is your mind.

"To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders." Lao Tzu

Observe what is happening and what your mind is doing, closely. You will find the mind is not separate from what is occurring around you... they are the same process.

If you just stop thinking negatively, rather than adding thoughts and intentions, your life will improve dramatically, and so will your health.
