Job as a cab driver?

I've talked to a few cab drivers and they average at 150-300 a day for a 9 hour shift.  It's usually above 200 if you work nights, people are usually intoxicated and give good tips.

The points on my license are gone in a month, so I'm considering doing this.  I think it would be fun to cruise around and get to meet lots of people.

Thoughts?

It's one of the most dangerous jobs you can get.  Not recommended.

all i gotta do now is get my class 4, which apparently is easier to get than a 5
and yellow cabs are short 8 drivers :awesome:

Hmm, I'm sure that assumption is based purely on location. One of my best friends is a cabbie and where he lives its really not "the most dangerous" :lolsy:

Ever noticed the overall, look, smell and appearence of cabbies?

Nobody really aspires to be a cabbie.  That should be an indication of how "good" the job is.

most cab drivers I've met are well groomed.  maybe you live in a dump city.

the ups are that you're not stuck inside all day and don't have to wear yourself out with hard physical labor.

you sound like the pompous type who thinks anyone with an education is somehow "better".  that is the attitude you convey.  this is an indication of how shitty your job must be :awesome:
