do these wal-mart poppies produce opium...and how many sq ft do i need to pull a NICE harvest...

Okay so the other day @ wal-mart while purchasing some peat cubes and i seen these poppies...one is amapola californiana mezcla de atardecer, the second is amapola oriental, another is amapola oriental mezcla pizzicato says its a pizzicato mix last but not least the amapola mariquita aka ladybird poppy...question being are these seeds a form of opium poppy. if i grow them will they produce opium basically???

questionn 2: lets say i plant 750sq ft lets say 1 plant per sq ft..wat am i lookin at in the gram range...maybe 1200sqft ill plant...ive got 250 giganteum seeds, 100 grape poppy seeds, 250 dwarf danish flag seeds, 250 hungarian blues, 300 pepperbox, not to mention all the packs of walmart (hoprfully) there jus making a fancy name to call them thangs. some of these i plan to plant in containers i dont kno wat strains grow best out of the seeds ive got...??? any and all help is much appreciated as this is my first poppy gorw...n im doin it big lol  as possible anywas...gardening in the semi central florida area so i belive now is the time to get it goin....gurus i need your experience and help..or anyone else that knows wat theya re talkin about...again thanks in davance.

No is your answer

Those arent somniferum, those are ornamental,

What you want to do is goto the cooking isle and buy food poppy seeds. im not sure which US brands are good buy thats what you want.

EDIT to add that teh giganteum will produce teh biggest pods and you will get a variety of differnt sizes with the different strains and also cross-pollinataion. There is ABSOLUTLY NO WAY to know or guess or even bother to try to work out what your harvest will be. WAY WAY to many factors.

Just remember, nearly everywhere in the western world you can get away with growing poppies if you can can say theyre for ornamental reasons but the volume your talking about is just asking for trouble. Just m 2cents

the whole plan is to make it look pretty and not only plant poppies but all kindsa other shit too...filll the fenced backyard with mad dif flowers have a butterfly hummingnird garden..ima pull off somethin massive..and pretty!

even if you did get the right seeds , and you have the space
do you know anything about growing poppies, or even how to harvest opium
it sounds easy , but thats as far as it all goes, ive wrecked alot of pods this year from trying to get it right,

i finally got a half a hit of opium , and i cant wait for next year:crazy2:
