About Poppies and opium
    #3104035 -

I just registered on the forum and searched and i cant find the anwser . I cannot find this anwser in poppies.org or erowid .

Im going to grow some indoor PERSIAN WHITE soon , next summer , ill probaly grow some outdoor too .

How many "raw opium" each persian white give?
How many "pure opium" give raw opium after cocking?

Now lets say i cock the raw opium and get pure opium , how many hit i can get with an half of a gram or x quantities ???

2 simple question i realy need to know but i cant find any anwser .

You probably won't get them to grow indoors. And the amount of raw opium per pod is very small, and it will take many many many plants to get enough raw opium to make more purified opium for smoke.

Someone in an other forum said the ratio of raw to purified is 20% .

THe thing im tryn to figure out is how many i should plant . When you say many many many , you mean what? 50 ? 100 ? 1000?

It look like nobody around is able to say :
1 pod of persian white = x mg average of raw

If i know how many raw opium a pod in average give , i got all my anwser .
The last thing i would like to know is : how many in mg of pure opium you need to get hight .

You have to score the pod, and take the sap, then cook he sap to make the smoke.

An other guy said :
"1 hundred or so. One hundred of these pretty little fellas will more than likely not even yield enough "gear" to get high more than say... 10 times or so"

Who confirm this?

An other one said:

"id say that growing poppies are a waste of time unless u have at least 1000 of them growing and this would still only be enough for a small supply.
The easiest way is to buy dried p.somniferum poppies which are in any local dried flower shop, then do the usual extraction, this yields about 3gram per 20 heads. Morphine content can vary from 1-14% usually about 5-7%"

3 gram for 20 heads????
This mean 0.60g of pure opium from what said the first guy (20%) .

And this mean 0.18mg of morphine for 20 heads at 6% .

Now wich one say the truth and how many danm pure opium in mg opiate users usely do when they smoke it.... ???

You could say everything you'd like in one post, that'd be less pretentious.

With all plants, mileage will vary, nobody can tell you how many plants you'll need to get any amount of opium. You will need well over one hundred plants for just 4 sessions of purified smokable opium. And I will bet my hat you won't get them to grow indoors.

Be nice neuro he's new and maybe doesn't understand forum etiquite.

The fact is , no one can tell you because we dont know the complete specs and origin of your seed. You would have to find out based on experimentation. Grow ten plants of that strain and find the average yeild and do some basic math.. It is likely going to take you a lot of plants to get a lot of smokable material. I personally would say your better off making tea. but that doesn't mean you still cant milk. Just grow them, as many as you can.. plant 1000 seeds.. you may end up with 100 plants.. see how that goes, and report back to us .
