So let me preface this and say I would never start a fight myself, or hurt anyone innocent minding their own business. I never go out looking for trouble, or messing with peaceful people, I'm very respectful of them, their property, ect.
So anyway, when ever I find myself walking down a dark ally at night in a sketchy part of town, I always fantasize about someone trying to mug me, jump me, or some way trying to harm me or what I care about. I find myself wishing something like this would happen, so I could get the chance to retaliate. When I think about these things I just get this explosive energy. I feel like I could easily take out the Incredible Hulk and Superman at the same time. At 6 foot and 170lbs I'm not huge, but I can take care of myself in most situations for sure. Some dude tried to rob me (with no weapon) at an ATM a while back and I fucked him up and kept my money, so I know I can preform well under pressure as well.
I know this mentality is likely to get me paralyzed or killed, but I have no kids nor much family (my dad is only surviving family left, literally) so I do not value my life that much. I'm not depressed, I love life and have a great time, just not that afraid of death I guess? I do have moderate disarmament training (knives, sticks, bats, guns at pointblank range) but I am probably over confident of my abilities, not to mention you never know the training the guy with the gun has.
I'm mainly wondering if other males around my age feel like this or I'm weird? I'm 25 so I don't think it's raging hormones from puberty. Maybe a late surge of testosterone? (for the record, drug wise I only smoke pot, so it's not roid rage or amphetamine psychosis) It doesn't consume me, or get in the way of my day to day life. I do notice I have become more interested in working out, furthering my combat skills and stuff like that... I don't want to turn out like the fuckin MMA dude that ate out his friend's heart on shrooms... I have no violent feelings towards anyone I know or care about, even random people for that matter, so I think I'm good there.
Maybe I need to find something else to get me excited as a replacement. I have considered maybe I just like the thrill of death or serious injury, the fight of flight response. But I'm not really interested in putting my life in danger in any other way. I usually do what I can to avoid unnecessary risk, even things like skipping carnival rides cuz those things prolly aren't that safe... But put a gun in my face and it's on, wtf is wrong with me
