i said that i saw one, now after looking at the palestinian media list, i saw 4-5 others . most of the video on that list are full of shit. they even use hamas vs fatah bullshit.

ultra leftist my ass. did you read what i wrote. cutting off people's ears in the opening theme and saying it has to do with arabic culture or country is not racist?

just because hollywood pc liberals don't want 2 queues for arabs and another for any nationality in airports just means they aren't fucking stupid and see the paralels with what happened to the jews.

alladin is not the only movie that has racist part. rules of engagement is the biggest example of it. there are plenty movies where arabs beat woman or use them as hostages, there are movies that uses anti-semitic stereotypes against arabs like father of the bride 2 or Network, where wealthy arabs take control of the MEDIA. in general, arab soldiers or terrorist are portrayed as vicious and incompetent, thus they are evil (deserve to die) and we can beat them militarily easily.

as for alladin the movie as a whole is not racist, there are parts of it like cutting hands and the opening theme. ( by the way they said that this part was removed at some point, was it before or after the movie was out? i do remember hearing it when i was younger)

i'll like you to explain how trying to cut the hand of a woman who stole an apple is not racist, especially when such things are banned in many muslim countries and it never happen on first offence. the movie make it sound like everyone who steal has his hand cut off.

i also wrote arab soldiers or terrorist. and when i said vicious, i meant the take woman as hostage kind of stuff. course villains are always dirtbags, but you rarely see arabs in a positive manner anywhere in hollywoods anymore.

i mean what the fuck, jews being portrayed as bankers would be called anti-semitic. not a stereotype. arabs portrayed as people who cut woman's hand for a first time stealing offense is not just a stereotype, it's racist and incite to hate against the target group.

positive stereotypes can also means asians are only good at math, or that woman are only good at cooking for example, thus it can include some inferiority or hatred. what if one says jews are good at handling business? someone could argue that the workers work their ass off while the jews are barely doing anything and being well paid (yes i know business owner work hard too, i am just stating this as an example.

you are right that racism as a dictionary definition means hatred or superiority over another race. but don't you think stereotype have alot to do with it?

i laughed when george lincoln rockwell, the leader of the us nazi party, when responding to a question by someone who asked: can you name a positive attributes about blacks and jews? he responded, well blacks are good musicians, and jews are good at handling businesses. don't you agree there is a hint of racism there? i could agree they are only stereotypes, but then where do you draw the line? stereotypes of inferiority? i personally think asians would be pissed if you asked them hey i got a math problem can you help me. of course this is baseless ,it's just common sense. and actually people respond differently to racist jokes. some asians find the jackie chan joke funny, but others don't. those who don't probably didn't hear it for the first time.

Stereotypes and racism often go hand in hand.  However, it is wrong to claim that movies, such as Aladin, where a stereotype is portrayed, is racist.  If the stereotype is portrayed to enhance a feeling of hatred, intolerance, or superiority, then racism would exist.  If the stereotype is portrayed out of ignorance, then the movie is inaccurate (and culturally insensitive), but it is not necessarily racist.  Racism is an ugly word that people are quick to use, inaccurately, for the benefit of their position.  Politicians and "community activists" are especially guilty of this practice.  Doing so belittles the word and is a slap in the face to everybody that has been on the receiving end of real racism.

yes but then i can make pretty much any sort of movies which clearly denigrates persons of a certain culture and pretend i wasn't doing anything ideological. what if a person has racists belief and so it reflects itself into the movie even if he didn't have the intention to causes hatred? i personally despise political correctness, if something is true then it is true and is thus not hate speech, but the act of cutting the hand for stealing on a first offence is not true.

also this may be off-topic, but what about the muhammed cartoon? the cartoon that shocked the people most was the one where muhammed has a bomb for a hat, the man who drawed it said that recent islamic fundamentalist incidents happened such as a concert being closed due to protests, the music was unislamic, a jew was attacked by a few islamists due to palestine. so the contest was done in that manner. the man said he did those drawings to see if denmark was living under SHARIAH LAW. which is a very common theme of the bnp and other far-right groups , to believe that anyone could live under shariah law in acountry where muslim are less than 5% is insane , and pretty damn close to the concept of zionist occupational government . at least the zionist occupational government bullshit can be argued in a country where the whole political spectrum supports israel irrespective of the opinion of their citizen,and even then, occupational government? that's way too far.
