Most my friends have kids now.. (Rant)

Which is fine.  But me and my girl decided to wait till after we are done schooling to have one.  Seems like planning on when to have a child is weird these days, we are the odd couple out.  Outta the 6 of us... only 2 dont have kids.  We have all been friends for 10 years.
 
  Seem like every time i want to take my friends fishing or golfing, they cant come because of "the kids!"  I try and go vist them, and the children are screaming and crying!  Makes me not want kids at all.....

  This weekend we rented 2 cabins and its gonna rock!!  A weekend of drinkin and fishing!!  I was gonna bring some LSD or mush, for a late night trip with the boyz.  but noooo "its not a good idea, with children around".  WTF!!  :mad2:

i miss the old days where me and the boyz could go camping at the drop of a hat, and take any drug under the sun....

Im sure it will still be a great weekend.... with all the kids there.  Even though we are sharing cabins with babys .  I hope they dont cry all night....

ditch em and get new mates with no kids i say....lol, seriously though i know what your going through and perhaps if you want to enjoy sessions with the boyz arrange that seperatly or get the kids looked after by grandparents/sitters

It happens bro. As you get older, things change in peoples lives and sometimes that can leave you feeling left out.
I applaud your decision to have children responsibly.
It sucks, I know.
But it won't stay like this forever. Someday, you may find yourself in their shoes but until you do, try to understand that they are probably overwhelmed atm.

P.S. I would probably take the refreshments anyway.
They will more than likely change their minds once the kids are asleep and you are having drinks around the fire. :shrug:
If not, then at least you were prepared.
But I have seen it happen a million times. You guys will be kicking it around the fire and one by one they'll start whispering, "Hey man, you got those doses/shrooms?" And they will have this desperate 'OMG help me' look in their eyes. :rofl:

And if this is the case, You will be the Fonzie of the group. A true American hero to them. :awesomenod:

that was the plan...  my friend kyle texted me today, "just cuz Dustin doesnt want to trip this weekend, doesnt mean that you should leave your stash at home :wink:"

Im thinking if we wait till most people pass out, then dose and talk all night, and watch the sun come up.. it will be a great night!!

Seems to me most people just have kids because everyone else is having kids, plus the pressure from girls always wanting kids because they are like mesmerized by them and shit. Everyone around me has kids now and it drives me insane because now they all have lives to tend to and shit and I'm always wanting to hang out and no one ever can. I'm just so damn glad I don't have one. :lol:

From what I can tell having kids ruins everything unless you truly happen to be a good parent that can take care of your children right and still have a decent life to live for yourself, but that's like 1 in 20 people or so.

I wouldn't recommend you giving them any thing to trip on because they won't be able to take care of their children properly until they recover. Unless you can convince their other to watch the children for the day while you trip balls and fish.

almost all of us are bring our gf's too... so id only be dosing the boys. :thumbup:

i only dose people that i have tripped many times with.  5 of us have done acid/shrooms/cacti well over 30 times together....

Same here. We are the only ones with no kids. Anytime anyone calls, its to see if we have one yet....

I wouldn't worry about having kids because they'll cry all the time.
Not all kids do that.

And I agree with the let the women watch the kids statement.
But, if they'll be sleeping anyway I'm sure it'll be fine
As long as none of the womenz get jealous over little things like that, I say you're good to go

I lost all my friends when I had kids. I have 1 friend that comes over frequently that doesn't mind kids screaming in his ear. He just laughs at me for having them and having to put up with it. Honestly I can't wait until my kids are 10+ so they don't take constant watching. I have no life with little ones around. I love my kids but I would give anything to have 1 single damn weekend where I can do what I want to do. Just being away from them for a weekend would be like a month vacation. I don't blame people for not wanting to be friends with someone who has kids. I don't even like having friends with kids.

It's a joy to have them and I love them very much, but I can't wait until they grow up and don't take every second of my time.

Anyone who can have kids and parent them I have the up-most respect for. I chose not to have them. I feel selfish at times for this decision and then I don't. I know I made the right decision for myself. I can handle kids for a few hours only. Everyone I partied with is long gone. I talk to them online/phone occasionally, and then not all of them. We are all in such different places now. I love growing older and experiencing new things/people/places. Not all of my friends have kids now, but they do not party anymore.

Ha, dang, i didn't even notice it was misspelled! I just thought it was ironic that everyone else posting a reply had a positive outlook on your situation...

and i also get PM's telling me i spelled method wrong, haha. When in fact...well..actually i did spell it wrong. I was going for method... oh well. aha.
