incriminating text message?
    #12588742 -

a friend of mine has been on probation for a few months. he's been smoking and dodging the bullet with piss tests. so far, he hasn't gotten his "color" called for a random once, and he's prepared for the others.

yesterday i texted him and asked him if he was looking for any mids. didn't get a response. i called another friend today and no one has been able to get a hold of him.

mondays are the days that they usually do the randoms, so i'm thinking he probably got nabbed.

if he were put in jail, is it standard procedure for the cops to look through his phone? i'm probably just being paranoid but eh. also, yes, he would be in jail unfortunately since he has priors.

Reason says that they should not be able to just go through his phone at will.
Though I must say if he is in for drugs, pigs and phones are like flies and shit, they'll be all over it trying to find dealers.

What happened in this case no one knows, they might not even bother, but its always bad idea to leave incriminating shit written down, no matter what.

Cops can and do look through text messages without a warrant. so watch it.

back in hs we would always smoke at the appartment complexes surrounding the school. sometimes the people that lived there would get upset and chase us out of there. once this happened, and my friend left his phone behind. in his contacts he had 'dealer' written next to each one of his dealers. yes the cops look.

Yeah, a make it a specific rule. I tell everyone I know: "If you text me about drugs, I don't care if you're using some nickname you think is clever, I won't respond or I'll tell you that I have no idea what you're talking about. CALL ME! That's what a phone is for!"
