Cakes crumbled on birthday
    #1246933 - 01/25/03 12:22 AM (15 years, 3 months ago)

I just birthed 5 cakes. The first 3 wouldn't come out no matter how hard I shook so I used the end of a sterilized toothbruth to pry pieces out. I put all cakes in separate ziplocs full of water and hydrogen peroxid and put them in my fridge. I was planning on crumbling my cakes into a tray anyways, but will it do any harm to dunk crumbled pieces?

nope, they should be perfectly fine!
actually, it could even be better for them, since they might get more water than if they were whole cakes...

usually if I have a cake that doesn't want to get out of the jar, a nice good whack on the bottom of the jar sets it free!

What was the substrate recipe that you used? It sounds like there wasn't enough water involved.

Oh believe me I whacked that thing hard.
I used BRF but not enough water.
