Finding out your ex-love cheated on you

Anybody experience this? :nonono:

I just found out my ex love used to cheat on me. I'm over her now, but she's the only girl I ever loved and I just had this whole image of her built up in my head that got crushed :shrug:

I've found out many disturbing things about ex-boyfriends after breaking up... And a couple of them actually really hurt me.  It's a mind-fuck, no doubt, but to me it just confirms the fact that they weren't the right match for me.  The initial shock will fade, no big.  Life goes on.

Interesting philosophy.  + self-fulfilling prophecy.  Never expect true happiness; it's a myth.

But seriously, noticeofeviction, even if something happened long ago, it's still new to you if you're just finding out about it.  Expect to have some coping to do.

This is extremely commonplace, even sans the cheating.. I think most people when getting into relationships build up this image of what they want the other to be, regardless of what they actually are, which is usually quite different from the image.

I'm sure we've all had the experience of meeting someone, getting a great impression of them and conceiving this whole idea of who they are only to find out over time that it isn't them at all.

Its happened to me enough to make me pretty cynical about meeting people nowadays.. :shrug:

it'll be alright bud..telling her about it would just give her a even larger trip!  in my experience you wont find out all the bad stuff UNTIL you are broken up with someone..somehow all the dirty little secrets come to the surface at the end or after the breakup...it sucks becuase it kind of puts a bad image of women in your head, but they all arent bad
