Milage competition by foot, shroomery members

As soon as anyone else wants to start, we should have a competition and travel by foot as many miles in one week as possible.  We obviously would be using an honor system and if you cheat, whatever, you are a twat.

So, anyone else interested? I do around 3 miles a day now, but throw the competition in and I'll push myself more.

I don't care to win, this can be a lot of fun.

so, anyone up for the challenge?
Rule #1=no treadmills!

I'm very interested in this challenge. I'll try to up my running to 4-5 miles a day instead of 3 :awesome:
Competition makes for a healthier workout, i think. :P.

amazing!  You don't even have to run, I'll run mostly to save time but when I run out of steam I'm gonna just keep walking.  The deal is though, NO TREADMILLS.

Seeing your guys numbers will make me compete to beat you out, I have a feeling i'm going to be traveling a shitlaod of miles :smile:

So, we should try and get as many people to agree to it as possible and then set a starting date and an ending date.  I'll edit the first post for information and names of participants who will be taking this challenge

I'm gonna run, just because I need to get back into shape :awesome:
I used to be a cross country, before I stopped running i was pushing 10 miles a day.

I'll be running too but when I hit that wall, i'm gonna walk a bunch of miles to rack up mileage.

My plan is to just run and walk till I have something else to do :lol: i'll record where I walked then use google maps to see the exact amount of mileage and post in this thread.

I still want to get more people for a larger competition, It would be great if we could get 10 participants :smile:

how exactly do we measure these distances? i walk everywhere... campus, the store, downtown, walk my dog up the mountain, around the neighborhood, etc. a pedometer would be nice, but i can try to estimate.

Yesterday and the day before I probably walked about 3-5 miles each day, hopefully today will be about the same.

I guess I'm in, but I probably will do a bad job guesstimating!  I think on most days I walk at least a mile, just to and fro classes and my friends houses is quite a bit.  Now that it's nice out I'll be doing some leisure walking as well.

well to calculate it, I'll be using google maps to just find the distance that i walk, I suggest you do the same.

I wont be counting my walking to campus, to the car, to take a shit etc.

like I said though, no treadmills.  if it's raining, tough, we all will have to deal with weather issues but your an animal, get out there.

this is turning out to have enough participants that it will be a good competition.

if you are guesstimating please under guess, do not round up.



So, when should the game begin?
