yeah and learning about this the hard way sucks. Man I wish I could play these games just as good or better than any 'dangerous' guy. Learn how to get into their heads instead of letting them into mine all of the time.

It just seems to me that a lot of men are more capable of turning off or ignoring emotional attachment than women are, even when sex in a committed relationship is involved. At least the ones I've met.

They have an easier time saying, well fuck her, I can always get it somewhere else..and that's when the 17yr old skank makes an entrance to snatch the guy quicker than a...can't think of any analogies, crap I'm tired.

At least your a good person. I would prefer to be a good person and get hurt sometimes than be scum.

I think one the key things to know is that men have a lot of primitive desires plus an ability to shut off emotions. Men are hunters and are designed to be able to kill, because of this, men are given the ability to shut off empathy for other creatures. Some men have this problem more than others, so its worth waiting to find one which shows good caring traits.

Guys pretend like they're not interested/ignoring things... because they're either DISTRACTED (by another girl) or ACTUALLY don't give a shit (likely because they have another girl).

Guys get desperate only when they have no prospects.

Well at least your able to see the problem. Perhaps you can learn to find other traits attractive, like intelligence (i don't mean manipulative intelligence), caring nature, being humble. Stuff like that. I think this kind of thing is much more impressive than the more selfish traits, although i understand how they could be exciting.

It's kinda like I want to make the biggest player, asshole, whatever, commit to me and be like this was the girl I've been looking for all along. But I think I only feel this way towards the guy I was previously with, like I was hoping that he'd stop what he was doing, drop all his girls (that I know about now) and be like, wow, I really am in love with her

That probably came off sounding kind of weird, or possessive, like I want my guy on a leash or something. It's more like the taming the asshole thing I mentioned before. Or believing that even the biggest asshole can be a teddybear deep down inside. :lol:

Absolutely am realizing this now..and I have a teensy bit of faith that there's better out there.

Good rule of thumb is alpha males are usually shallow jerks. Even as a male i see them as people to avoid.
