Anyone have kundalini awakening and still trip

Title says it all. Tried it a few times shortly after and found the shrooms would blast through too many blockages for me to enjoy the trip. I'm much more centered now and would like to try again, just wondering if anyone else had any experiences.

Id suggest doing it without the shrooms so its not so much of a passing experience as when tripping...

Although going into a trip with centred focus is a very enjoyable thing to do. All in all i prefer meditating sober over mediating on any drug, on drugs you can be happy for a few hours, sober im happy all day & night :wink:

I just mean take them, not to meditate just to enjoy them the way I used to.  Last few times the trip was completly taken over by my k energy.

I don't think i could enjoy shrooms the same way i did years ago, i could enjoy them much more now, as now i know how to meditate & get the most out of the trip

For me the afterglow lasts at least 24 hours, and I can extend that if I meditate during.  My most powerful spiritual experience ever happened 3 days after an acid trip, I felt literally on top of the world.

Well, I did it.  I toook a small amount and had a very wild time.  I dont really know how to put it into words, but basically I was able to experience first hand what the kundalini energy essentially is doing to me.  I felt and expierenced it rip open allof my chakras, and during each chakra opening, wild and intricate visions were presant. I felt it uncover some of my baggage for me to look at, re-experience it and let go. It was very emotionally and physically draining but in the end I felt lighter and more at peace.  Souinds like any shroom experience, i know.  BUt, i have tripped over 50 times and since i woke up my k energy, my trips have been much more productive and way stronger,i need very little to have a fullblown expierience with wild visions and extatic rushes of energy.  I took less than a gram for this last one.

Can you please explain this to me? kundalini awakening- what exactly is it? I am a bit of a noobie when it comes to this stuff but am very much fascinated. Here is what happened to me last night:


I embarked on a shamanic meditation experience- I lit some nag champa, drew a bath of hot, hot, hot water, and put on some sphongle! Just like the ancient shamans did :biggrin:

After about an hour I started getting this really ecstatic feel, kind of like a really nice amphetamine high. :awesantabig:

I also became very turned on.


I reminded myself this is the first step, just relax and keep going  :levitate:

My eyes started to reveal the colors more clearly beneath my eyelids

My mind went deeper and deeper into my consciousness... :levitate:


Colors, really weird head space... I practiced a bit of Zen style thought and some of that imagine yourself dying Tibetan  method, along with breath meditation.

Then came the most  :crazyeyes: thing ever... I had the sensation, the very convincing sensation that all the water around my chest just vanished!

I felt my body twist and twist- I had the amazing experience of falling! But it was as if my body was- in my chest area, was being twisted upward and it was a hollow icy blue! :psychsplit:


I would keep on doing this, twisting upward while body was deforming!



Could this have anything to do with chakras?

At one point I realized that this life was the hallucination, the crazy trip, and I was awakening toward the truth.

It was like my chest was clay and some unknown force was pulling my whole body upward from it and twisting me!

I heard whining noises, saw twisting in spirals, almost aura codes.

They weren't super apparent. But they were there.

A while later someone called for me- their voice whined on and echoed in a trail of shoooowwwweeesh!

When I opened my eyes I saw a black hole aura...


I have been sick for a long time, undiagnosed but we are working on it, and afterward (maybe from the heat :shrug:) I had intense nasuea, headache and ear pain.

so, you have been sick since this experience?  You may have had a kundalini awakening.  I am in no position to tell you that, but google it and see if others have had your experience. Though everyones is different.  If you did, it is very likley you will have bi polar type symptoms afterwards.  I had energy rushes, pressure in skull, third eye region, ears.  Wierd dreams, ability to see auras on people while sober, and other symptoms that would make me sound nuts.  Did you feel energy move up your spine.  If so, once you awaken your k energy, its on like donkey kong, there is no way to put it back, it will from here on out orchestrate the deconstruction of your body and mind cell by cell.  This is a good thing, it will cause you to deal with every underlying issue and pain, preconcieved notion, and allow you to be truley free.  You will be able to see your own conditioning from an outside view and pick up the pieces.  You may have just opend your heart chakra, i dont know much about all of this, i am fairly new too.  I awakend my kundalini energy by accident on a high dose of shrooms 2 years ago.  Good luck, let me know if you have more questions, but i would check into kundalini awakening/eruption, before going to the doctor for bi polar meds, because i did that too, and they diagnosed me with being bi polar, the meds didnt do shit and i could sense that this is the wrong way to go.  You may be, but chances are if you started to have these strange symptoms right after that meditation session, your not, in my opinion.

Well, I would NEVER go on meds from a shrink again. i am all natural now- I was on Zoloft and Seroquel for OCD and anxiety and just got off of them a month or two ago.


I do see auras! I have been fascinated by it and now you say it and I am like- :awebig: me too!




I have felt bi-polar symptoms for a long while- especially on seroquel and I still have them. I just never knew them as bi-polar until recently and now it makes sense.


it seems the k awakening just gives the symptoms I already coincidentally had!


Unless my K awakening has been going on for a while and this experience just set it into overdrive!

I know what you mean. I am a regular meditator and have eaten probably a 1/4 a pound total in just 08 alone, and would meditate for hours about 90% of the time. Last time I ate the sacrament I only ate .4 and was sent into a full blown coma! I mean serious ego death. I was experiencing quantum machinery and was aware of it while I was full conscious and saw the rings of the merkaba spin and heard the buzzing of the torque and spin the rings

I want to for the sake of clarity, ask about some of this. I know the post is a couple years old but kundalini never goes away aye?

So really I want to make note that if you normally have kundalini yoga flowing then if you take drugs and you feel kundalini more intensely I suggest it's because you experience everything more intensely. I suggest this because kundalini has no guality or quantity so there can't be more nor less. And while you are saying chakras are being ripped through and so on, you didn't know what they looked like before so maybe they are always ripping through with energy.

In fact the whole experience is trying to push the river, and therefore the two states of yogihood and drugs in fact have more to do with your uncertain mind than with your state of being.

My last shroom trip kind of sucked due to the fact that my kundalani was awake.

Why did that make it suck? Well because I think what i really enjoyed most about shrooms was all the spiritual revelations. On my last trip, most of what was "revealed" to me, was stuff I was already more or less aware of sober, so although I got high and had a fun time with the sensory distortions and spiritual energies, I just didn't get the same joy of revelation that made mushrooms special to me. for me, just taking mushrooms to feel high for a while have my senses enhanced/distorted is not worth it. It takes forever for me to fall asleep after tripping these days and so if I am going to commit to the whole affair, I really need to get something out of it. Otherwise my time could be better spent elsewhere.

ALso as someone who has abused drugs as much as I have, almost any sort of getting high is really a childish and immature thing for me to be doing. There are so many higher priorities in my life than seeking enjoyment from drugs. I am not comendiming drugs, ive learned a lot from them, but when do you say enough is enough? The story of my adult life has been drugs, drugs and more drugs. and then more drugs after that.

Kundalini-Shakti is not the be-all, end-all of experiences. It operates in the subtle body or astral sheath, and certainly has effects on one's physical body for good or ill (read Gopi Krishna's negative accounts), but it does not touch the Deep Self. Sri Chinmoy wrote Kundalini: The Mother Power, and likened the Kundalini phenomenon to the waves at the beach in which one frolics. But the still, calm depths of the sea represent Being, and it is Being that supports the mere surface turbulence. Sri Ramana Maharshi likewise points out that the Hridayam, the spiritual heart, supports the whole chakra system, and that the Hridayam is NOT the Anahata Chakra of the heart, but is a Causal Plane phenomenon that supports and gives rise to astral and physical phenomena alike. This is like saying that the abstraction 'God' gives rise to all of existence on all planes, which is a truism. All form arises from the Formless, whatever one calls it. Sir Arthur Avalon (John Woodruff) in his books The Serpent Power and Shakti and Shakta, makes it clear that the Tantric energy of Kundalini-Shakti is not the only path to Self-realization. In this day and age, the commitment to time, energy, solitude, celibacy, and the rest of the ascetic enterprise are usually untenable for attainments like the Tibetan Buddhist gTummo (Inner Fire), the correlate to Kundalini practices. Even with a Tantric partner, the tendency is to regress to hedonism in the name of 'spirituality.'

So, yes, after having had some profound high energy states over the decades, I still trip. And what is more, I do not work with Tantric energies, or the Yogas of Form, but rather with the Formless Yogas, Mahamudra for example, which is essentially what Eckhart Tolle conveys in his teachings. It is about one's identity with Being, not a psycho-physical process that is supposed to terminate in a momentary experience of Being (e.g., Nirvikalpa Samadhi as a result of the Shakti-Shiva union).

Depends when splitting hairs about kundalini whether one is a Shakta, in which case you may well identify the oneness as dynamic and actually Shakti instead of immovable stillness. It's a point of view of the tantric, one they assemble together and which becomes their Ishta.  For that reason you will find lots of portraits of kundalini or the Shaktis or Devis dancing on Shiva. You will not find the one without the other, but some wish to reside in stillness and some wish to dance the fuck all.

When practicing tantra on retreat one finds everything is more pleasurable. Kundalini is the light in the senses. Tantrics are often exhorted not to 'fall' back into materialism, except for Shaktas.  They are exhorted to not change anything including the 'poisonous' emotions. The tantric learns to work with all things as they are since they are illuminated by Shakti.

I see Tantric Sex as being legitimate only in the context of a committed relationship. Then, it is the Holy Matrimony of the East. Otherwise, it's just a bunch of polyamorous hedonists with a cosmic rap to lay on spacey hippy chicks who like things Indian. Utter bullshit, pretension, and a firm commitment only to Svadhisthana chakra pleasure-seeking behavior. :shrug: I spent time with married and seeking to be married Sikh converts of 3HO Kundalini Yoga. Some of those folks were dedicated enough. Waking up at 3:00 am to take a cold shower and spend 3 hours doing vigorous physical exercises and chanting is real dedication. Going to work in a turban, and dagger can't be easy in the USA, especially now with so many morons hating on turban-wearers of any stripe. I've seen one too many California hedonist cult video claiming to be practicing Tantric Sex to be anything but cynical at this point of my life.

Ah, I studied tantra from the perspective of yoga. When I talk about tantra it has little to do with sexual activity. Tantra is a word meaning something similar to yoga, though not exactly. Tantra means 'mechanism' and refers to doing a sadhana and then getting results. In tantra you do not have to believe just so long as you do the practice. 

Though that said, I would deny any possibility of tantric sex without deep meditation, ideally on retreat.  The sex during month long meditation retreats, the love, the whole thing is more aware than sex with a bunch of gyrations done while on ecstasy and Viagra.
