Sketchy PM, possible LEO?

On a thread a few days ago I mentioned that I was a couple hours from a city. The next day I log on and there was a message for me. When I opened it, it was from a guy asking if I lived in a certain town. It just seems sketchy as hell, I would never ask someone on here where they live.

A couple of things in the message that really sketched me out in the message........

I am not going to say, at least not just yet. I don't want to ruin someones reputation that may be innocent. I just want to know if this is a "normal" thing on here? Should I be freaked out by it? It is not like I am doing anything that would get me in trouble but I don't want to be watched or investigated or anything like that. Never had anything like this happen before.

I've only been :pm: a few times in my 5 years here. Once for a hookup, once by someone looking to hang out. I answered both with a no thanks.

1500 posts could very well be a LEO,  cops aren't stupid, they know what to do to look like they're not cops.  either way, a pm asking about your location from a random person on any message board should be ignored

if the guy has a good trade rating then hes probably not a cop, to me a trade rating on this site says everything about a person, post counts count for absolutely nothing.

Lie, say you live some place in like 120 degrees from that reference city, give a few details about the place, then ignore any replies.

Granted, it might be quite innocent, but why ignore your own good sense?

Since he wasn't asking for drugs, it probably just is another user hoping to find cool people in his area.

I have hung out with tons of people I met on shroomery.  They are all great. 

You don't need to hide from all the cool people in the world just because of the fact that police exist.  That is what _they_ want, that is how they destroy an entire culture by making certain mushrooms illegal.

Police don't use the shroomery to bust people because its not a good use of their time. 

If they PM'd you asking about drugs then it could be a cop, but no cop is going to just go hang out with lots of random people from the internet in the hopes that they might know someone that has some drugs.
