Just look for a brown plastic bottle. Store in a nice cool dark place.

you can get hydrogen peroxide at any drugstore or places like wal-mart for under a dollar. People use it to clean cuts out because it doenst burn like alchol does------------------ Drugs may be the road to no where, but atleast its the scenic route

I can use a 100 watt bulb? I thought mycelium developed best in the dark. Will the light affect growth?

The light is used only for the heat, put a towel over jars to keep light out.

This is my first time growing and I found that the water heater closet works pretty good. Warm and dark.

maintaining the right temperature is very important. i got a small ceramic heater w/ a digital thermostat from sears. it cost $50 but it was the best cultivation supply purchase ive made. i just set it to the desired temp inside my incubation tent (a pvc pipe frame with a large blanket on top) and its good to go. i grow in a closet too. i have two chambers made with pvc pipe frames covered with blankets (insulation would be more professional but blankets work fine). in the name of procrastination, heres a picture: /------/ /------/ | / | /| / | /| | ------- | ------- | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | --------------------------- drying incubation chamber chamber
in the drying chamber i have a small fan and some pans to lay the mushrooms out on. i hang a dessicant bag in there as well. the other chamber has the heater and colonizing jars/trays. above these i have two 2'x2' cardboard boxes. they are lined with 2mm plastic and have seran wrap tops sealed with duct tape. they are both connected to a cool mist humidifier set up according to shroomgods instructions. super cheap setup except for the heater. the fan and the humidifier i got from the flea market. the other costs were neglegable. strongly suggest the space heater as the best way to incubate. -daniel.
