Did you grow these guys(or girls) from seed? If you did could you tell me what procedures you followed to germinate them? I've got 10 L. diffusa seeds that I'm going to be germinating in about 2 or 3 months, and I'm wondering how it's supposed to be done.

I didnt start these ones from seed
i bought them all in garden centers in the u.k
but i did once try from seed about 5 years ago
and i think i neglected them to much so the
seedlings rotted. So the only advice i can give on that is
dont let it get to damp and follow advice as to the
germination of most cacti.

Thought i'd update this thread with a few more pictures, as you can see the girls got fat and lazy over winter siting under 24 hours of light a day with plenty to eat and drink. So now its time to get back on the window sill to build up some chemicals in the strong sunlight :-) over the summer months.

Nice, I've just bought my first peyote. 3.5cm diameter, I'll be getting some seeds too soon. If they turn out anything like yours I'll be well happy.

Why arent you grafting to fast growing stalks of other cacti to speed growth? Any particular reason?
I cant see growing peyos in any other fashion. It just takes too damn long!
