Are you sure that's peyote? I'd be willing to be almost anything that they sent you a Lophophora diffusa. Note the yellowish tint and the shallow ribbing. Peyote has a bluish tint and deeper grooves than that.

Hmm... I've seen many Lophophora in my day, and have quite a few diffusas myself. That photo looks very much like a diffusa and has some traits that are quite un-williamsii like. The overall shape of the plant is diffusa-like. The rib grooves are diffusa-like. The color is diffusa-like. If that is a williamsii, its a very unusual diffusa-like specimen.

While were at it... your San Pedro isn't a San Pedro either. That looks to be a Trichocereus bridgesii.

well your almost right about that,
I made a post about that, i wasnt sure that it was a Trichocereus Panchoi.
It looked more like a Trichocereus Peruvianus , and i was right it is a Trichocereus Peruvianus and because of the mistake they sended me a Panchoi....i'll post pictures lateron.

No, that is not a perivuanus, that's for sure. That is almost certainly a bridgesii.

In fact, by those pictures, I'm not only sure that you got a T. bridgesii and an L. diffusa, but I think I can even guess where you bought them, since they look damn near identical to the diffusa and bridgesii from a certain vendor. You purchased them from a web site based in Holland, right?

I posted this a few weeks ago, I think its relevant here:

In reply to:

Based on the recent posts in this forum and others, many people seem to be receiving T. peruvianus when ordering T.pachanoi (Pedro).

Is this due to mislabel cacti?

OR

Supplies who regard T. Peruvianus as a variation of T.Pachanoi and not its own species? (One cacti nursery I spoke to, did not recognize T.Peruvianus as a cacti species.

OR

European variation on T.Pachanoi, which resemble T. Peruvianus?

Also....

Do all the European cacti come from the same suppliers?

Does anyone care if they receive a T. Peruvianus when they ordered T.Pachanoi?

Do seed grown cacti show a significant variations in their offspring?

This will apply to many other cacti not just T. Peruvianus.

I have ordered T.Pachanoi from 3 different sources in Europe, all of which are not typical T.Pachanoi looking cacti.

I think this is due to the fact that most smartshop employees are tards when it comes to anything beyond marijuana and mushrooms. I think they probably consider any tall skinny cactus they have "San Pedro" and any round dumpy cactus "peyote"...

The photo posted here is a very typical T. bridgesii. Note the notchless areoles and the coloration. I'm pretty sure the "peyote" is a diffusa, based on the factors I posted earlier.

I almost think that sending the diffusa instead of peyote is more a matter of stupid mistake than of malicious rip-off... since they also sent you a bridgesii as a pachanoi, when bridgesii usually cost more.

Good advice is to avoid buying cacti from smartshops. They usually jack the prices WAY up and dont know what they're doing. Buy your cacti from a reputable cactus vendor, not a stoner shop.

But what i dont understand is that it is a reputable cactus vendor :

its no smartshop ...(dont try to explain me about smartshops )

And they sell the all of these :

Trichocereus Panchnoi (San Pedro)
Trichocereus Bridgesii
Trichocereus peruvianus
Astropythum asterias
Ariocarpus fissuratus (Chaute/Sunami)
Ariocarpus kotschoubeyamus
Ariocarpus retusus (Tsuwiri/Chaute)
Ariocarpus trigonus (Pezuna de Venado)
Astropythum myriostigma
Astropythum capricorne
Aztekium ritterrii
Cereus jamacaru
Coryphantha

Take a look your self :
http://www.botanic-art.nl/cacti.htm

And tell me what you think

That vendor is definately one that I'd consider more towards the smartshop end of things... It may not be an outright smartshop, but virtually all of their catalog is oriented towards people interested in "ethnobotanicals"... The catalog page for San Pedro links to stuff about how to extract mescaline, etc. This place may have a good reputation, but I definately wouldn't consider them a "cactus vendor" in the same sense as a mainstream cactus supplier like Mesa Gardens etc.

If you look at their T. bridgesii page, youll see it looks just like the "San Pedro" you got. Perhaps they were just sloppy and made a mistake.

Well, as i sayd before , you where right about this cacti not being a Panchnoi.

But i have searched for ton of pictures over the internet,
and i'm 100% sure it is a Trichocereus peruvianus .

I'm 100% sure its NOT a peruvianus. Where are the V notches? Look at the color. Look at the areolation. That's definately 100% guaranteed positvely absolutely not a peruvianus. It is a Trichocereus bridgesii.
