i hate it when people say "we must remember the true meaning of christmas, jesus' birthday". the real meaning of christmas is actually the economy. jesus wasnt even born on christmas.

Well, Christmas actually doesn't fall anywhere near Jesus' birth. We really don't know when he was born, hell, we don't even know for sure if he even existed.
Christmas is actually just a modification of a solstice celebration. The true meaning of Christmas? Winter.
It's a pretty good time to have a holiday, though. There should be at least one time a year when we can get together with family and friends, relax, eat too much, drink too much, smoke too much, whatever. Just live life to its fullest, appreciate others, and have fun.

It's a time of year when people got together with their families to see them one last time before they died of cold and starvation. Especially the old and weak.

Ham and pretty lights, yeah that pretty much covers it.
On the subject of pretty lights, last xmas, my brother drove me around while shrooming to look at the lights, we came upon a cull-de-sac with three houses that had their yards completely filled with little plastic cartoon characters and dim yellow lights. It was amazing, it looked like an army of mickey mouse and donald duck and looney toons and all their friends coming up over a hill through a light mist. That my friends is what xmas is all about.
