it's not a huge factor

doing it over text would make it less awkward if the person was going to say no
and if you text them and they're not interested they have time to think of something to say no
then you have the whole waiting for them to text you back which would be a bitch..especially if they didn't

i'd say call

Well I phoned it. It didn't go so great. I don't know if i made my intentions clear but she said sounds good but also said "okay, i'll tell ______ (her room8). I dont know if that means ok i'll tell them so they can join or okay i'll let them know i'll be busy.
