I was referring more to the thread title, which should be "I hate my roomate's taste in music" or if there are multiple roomates, "...my roomates' taste in music."

Why don't you request he listen to headphones?  That's the only way I can be roommates with someone: headphones and earplugs. 

I read the entire 'Twilight' series and got totally obsessed with it.  I don't even like vampires but I enjoyed the story.  The movie sucked by comparison.  People who liked the movie but never read the books are people who blow my mind.

I had this problem last year.  Sexy Bitch isn't even THAT bad though by comparison - this guy just blasted fucking metal all the time.

It's such a negative style of music.  Gives off terrible vibes, and is just all around super depressing, I don't know how people do it.

He also "played" guitar (ie sucked), and the only songs he would learn are terrible metal songs.  All of my roommates this year play guitar (and so do I).  I have no problems with guitar, but don't play such fucking negative shit!  Learn some Beatles or Zeppelin or something that doesn't hurt my goddamn ears.

my roomate last year would blast 3OH!3 through his shitty laptop speakers. he also listened to country music and the Backstreet Boys.  He did have some good taste in music and introduced me to Girl Talk, Deadmau5, ratatat and a couple other cool groups. I think he actually liked 3OH!3 but i have a hunch he listened to country music just to annoy me.  the first time he played it i told him country music was not allowed in the room. he didnt believe me so i threw a knife at him and he shut the bathroom door too quick and it got stuck in the door. after that he'd play country music only if he had a suitable shield at the ready. when we moved out at the end of the year i had to fill the multiple knife holes in the door with paper and white out.

sounds harsh, i know. but the dude was like my best friend last year. we just had a weird style of friendship (ie, i'd throw a knife at him and we'd laugh about it.). he was a weird dude. he spent like 80% of his time in the room in the bathroom. he'd also get drunk and walk around naked a lot. one time he snorted a shit ton of adderall and took a shower. he came out like an hour and a half later saying "Dude I just passed out in the shower for like 45 minutes."
