You absolutely should let the police, ASPCA, local animal control, Dept. of health know of this situation. There may even be local zoning laws regulating puppy mills.  If they have nothing to hide, no real harm done. Personally, I'd go by there another time or two before I made my complaint about excessive noise, smell, maybe a loose dog... ASPCA actually can do something about it. Id call them and Animal Control if you dont have a large ASPCA in your area. If they feel its necessary, theyll call the cops for backup and legality issues (confiscating dogs if theyre being used for fighting or are being bred inhumanely).

If I were you, Id wait a week or two before contacting anyone. If it is in fact some sort of sketchy illegal set up, you can bet those guys are armed and involved in other sorts of criminal activites too.


Being a snitch isnt always a bad thing when it comes to people actually doing things wrong. Letting them getting away by saying people are rats and dirty snitches is giving those jerk offs power.

True, the only real rats are people who snitch on other people for victimless crimes imo.

ive worked pretty closely with the spca before and they really cant do much unless they already have possession of the animal, otherwise they call animal control or the cops. In fact ive seen employees go beyond the law and steal a dog for its own good cause there was nothing legal to do. :shrug: sometimes the system fails

I still think you should chat up a vegan in a health food store and get the Animal Liberation Front to cut their fence, kick down their door and free teh puppies :awesome:

Kidding of course.

Keep a low profile, get some more confirmation without putting yourself at risk and then getting some proper authorities involved, animal orgs and perhaps the cops.

If you think its wrong, definitely sick all the animal orgs on them. Police is another matter, as its a risk since you are a drug user. The animal orgs know when to call the police and usually have cred with them.

I'll keep everyone updated.  I think I'll walk by tomorrow and ride by maybe wed. or thurs.  I know my house isn't TOO big, but I know I could take care of a puppy and give him the attention he deserves instead of being caged up in someone's backyard.

If things still look weird in a week or two, I'm going to call animal control anonymously.  I know they will be able to determine if it is safe/legal for the animals and will take the appropriate steps necessary to make sure the dogs are safe.


P.S.  I think one of the kids that has been climbing my fence "belongs" to that house.  This kid has such a mouth on him.  I've heard him say "Fuck You" at least a dozen times in the past few minutes and he can't be much older than 12 or 13.  I think I saw him at that house earlier, but I'm not sure. :shrug:
