Oh No! Animal abuse in my neighborhood!

I just got back from a short bike ride around a few blocks just to kill some time while the coals were heating up in my grill, and I think I stumbled upon something terrible!:sad:  I think there is either a puppy mill or a dog fighting ring in my neighborhood!  While I was biking, I noticed the back yard of one house was filled with kennels or dog cages.  There was probably 20-25 of these "cages."  There were a lot of puppies barking, but I couldn't even see them because of the bushes that were in the way.  It sounded like at least 30-40 puppies maybe more.  The house and property don't look good at all (hell, the conditions don't even seem fit and I think I've seen a bunch of suspicious stuff going on there....  moreso than the norm. 

I hopped off of my bike to try to get a closer look, but as I did several large dogs (maybe 5-7 dogs) came running to the fence and started barking ferociously.  Someone in the house noticed me and came out screaming like a maniac!  "What the hell do you think you're doing? Get the hell out of here."  Then he yelled something in spanish (or possibly italian) to someone else inside the house.  I quickly got back on my bike and rode home. 

Well, I'm home now and I don't know what I should do.  Should I call the police, ASPCA, the Human Society, etc?  I don't think it's right for people to have these kinds of setup just to abuse animals.  Do I need to call in anonymously?  I don't want them finding out I called and coming to start trouble with me.

Any input/advice would be appreciated.

aspca cant do shit. they are nonprofit. id call the cops, if anything they could point you in the right direction.

edit: and also, i think i care more about animals gettin fucked over than humans, humans have the power to change most of their environment in one way or another; animals do not.

:rofl::rofl2::rofl: The racial stereotyping in this is hilarious. He must of been spanish or possibly italian because he was involved in some shady activities and was speaking a different language. I am sorry about the dogs though, call the cops.

Sounds like a puppy mill.

Problem is puppy mills are legal unless living conditions are quite atrocious (that is - more atrocious than is common)

The least you can do is let it be known to the animal orgs and let them try to handle it.

You might want to wait a week or two to not have them visit right after you poked your nose where it didnt belong.

ok you need some roast beef, a (fake) greencard, a black jump suit, and some anal lube. First dress up in the jumpsuit and ride up to their house again on your bike, but this time distract the dogs with the roast beef and quickly jump through the bushes and safely into the backyard. While youre there let out all the dogs from the cages and if the locks on any of them are stuck, this is where the anal lube comes in. If any of the mexicans happen to find you this time, distract them with the green card and sneak safely back through the bushes.

Actually, I do speak some spanish although not too much and I recognized a few words like "Mira!" (dunno how it's spelled) But that's something like "Look!" and I do know that Spanish and Italian have many similarities.

I decided to call the police, but I forgot to write down the address...  I was in too much of a hurry to get out of there.  I'm going to walk by later on in different clothes since it's only a few blocks away and get the house number.

I think I'm just going to keep an eye on it for a week or two like Wiccan_Seeker suggested.  I don't want to jump the gun and make what turns out to be an unnecessary call.  I'll ride by in a few more days at an earlier time to see if I notice anything else.  I'm not trying to hang around and spy, just ride by like I did and take mental notes. 

Like I said, the conditions don't seem fit, but maybe that's just my take on things.  The whole thing just seems highly out-of-place in this neighborhood.  It's really quiet over here and something doesn't quite feel right about it.

Even if he isn't fighting them there are laws on how many animals you can have is a certain area. They may live in very unhospitable conditions
