my friends on effexor and hes shroomed a few times and each time has been terrifying. effexor isnt an maoi but its an ssri. do ssris effect shrooms?

Hello,

I myself have had the same type of experience with effexor.  I have since moved to Trilipto and had no problems at all.

My advice to your friend is to just stay away from the shroomies until he/she canges meds.

I was also prescribed effexor but once I read more about it on the Internet I felt I didnt need it. I was basically diagnosed as being mildly depressed(by my doctor) after being asked about 5 yes or no answer questions(ex. "do you feel like your less happy now than a few years ago?" and "have your eating habits changed in the last while?") I think doctors deal out medication to quickly and dont ever consider the other options. Is effexor for mild deppression or is it for more extreme cases?

Read these reactions people have had to ssri inhibitors like effexor and prozac. Im sure some are exagerated but its funny none the less.

I have several samples of effexor and every time i take one or two and look at my hands under the glow of my clock i see tracers. That and Ive gotten very elaborate closed-eyed visuals. This does not exactly answer your question, but it definitely shows a connection there so...


I do not even see how effexor could help with anything but small amounts of anxiety. All it does to me is slightly blunts feelings and gives me a little lock jaw.
On a side question--not to take over this post--but has anybody taken a bit of a larg dose, like over 2 or 3 pills of the 75mg time release? i wanna take a small dive.
