Yeah, I don't even have the kind of feed stores that have rye, much less syringes or autoinjectors.
But I know a place just 100 miles south of Chicago that has all of that, and at rock-bottom prices. :yesnod:

You can get Rye berries at Whole Foods or any organic grocery store.  If there is a Whole Foods near you they sell fantastic Organic Rye Berries for .99 / LB.

Thanks for all the responses. I reckon a feed store would work. Its quite out of my way, but a don't mind biking. Its assumed they sell rye grains as well. Due too the number and quickness of replies, this forum is defiantly the place to ask questions. Any other random thing I might need, I will make sure to ask your folks. Thanks!

Yea, they sell Red Mill at Whole Foods and a dozen other stores like Jewel and Dominicks.  I like generic bulk organic Rye berries better.  Much less cost and you buy the amount you want or need rather then prepackaged amounts.

Of course it is cheaper, but bobs red mill uses UPS.
I was just trying to give him a another option.

I buy my rye at Winco (.33 a LB)in the bulk section. They also sell triticale berries for .89 a pound.
Winco Also sells 1/2 pint Wide mouth canning jars for 5.99 a doz. and wide mouth pint jars for 6.99.

I just bought 100lbs of rye $35 yesterday. I called around everywhere and found the cheapest and one of the only places to carry it. It took 3 weeks to for them to get it in, but I finally got it. It's totally generic. Just a plain brown bag like it should be. I have paid $1 a lb from the health food store in a pinch, but buying in bulk makes it worth it for sure. I would definitely recommend grains to anyone over everything else. The preparation is way better, 10X cleaner than WBS, and no where near the mess. Rye is definitely the way to go.

None of the sponsors, to my knowledge, sell the 60ml, which surprises me because they're quite useful for things like GLC and spawnbags. Reasearch Supply is very good for these and the 10ml. Needles sold separately, but big deal. Thanks Lostkeys. They also have surgical masks, vacutainers, filters etc.

definitely go to a dollar store and buy a turkey injector for a dollar they're way bigger than a normal syringe and its easier to suck up liquid culture with them

Tractor supply company has numerous syringes and needles. And they're on the shelf. Don't have to ask some nosey fuck if they have em.

I just go to any one of a number of local pharmacies or drug stores (the over the counter kind :P) and ask for exactly what I want (10ml syringe with 20gauge needles or w/e).
From what I've heard some people in some countries don't have that luxury?

What's the 'civilian' use for a big syringe like that?
I haven't asked locally because I can't think of a reason they'd stock something like that.
Medical supply houses, maybe. Not pharmacies.

If asked why you want to buy something, just say "I don't know my boss sent my here to get XXX." If they ask any more question you can claim ignorance and you are just doing your job. That's what I say when I can't think of anything else.
