Buying a syringe

I just starting growing. After my first batch of jars, my glass syringe broke. It was acquired when an older friend of mine died. Basically, I don't want to buy one online, because I already have spores. So, what kind of store sells them? Could I find anything else at maybe a hardware store? Also, what is the technical name for a syringe with a locking valve on the tip? Any help is very much appreciated.

Go to walmart, ask the people in the garden section, they will help you...

Or if you don't wanna leave the house, try the search function. You'll find all your answers there!

Go to a county store, a feed & seed, and ask for large gauge syringes.  If they ask what you're using them for, just say you're growing mushrooms.

These stores are all over the country, just search your county name with feed & seed in a search engine and you'll fine something.  ~P~

You probably want a leur lok syringe with a 16 or 18 gauge x 1.5" canulus.

Just a guess.  That's what I use (the 18 gauge).

Thanks for the help. I live in the middle of a big city. The closest Walmart is in another county. Any idea where else I could acquire one?

yea, the sponsors page... Steal your moms credit card and charge it there.

By the sound of it, you don't have a car and still live with your parents.

Buy from one of the sites sponsors, and have no worries because you know the shit you bought is top notch.

I would buy online.  Use the link I sent in the previous post to get started.  Other then that search for a Medical Supply company. 

I always buy online.  Usually arrives in two days, sometimes the next day depending on where I buy from.  Medical supply companies are really attentive to fast shipping needs of thier clients.

I buy from an online medical supply shop.  Their prices are not bloated and they deliver fast.  Then you can buy a box of 100 for the cost of 10 from one of the Shroomery sponsors. 

Nothing against the sponsors; I buy from them all the time.  Just not syringes.  Or Parafilm, or Impulse sealers ($39.00 at Harbor Freight), or . . . .

All you have to know is exactly what you want.  I've never had any problems.  I have a half a box left (from 100) that cost me what ten single syringes with canuls' would have cost me elsewhere.

I dunno - I told one of the doctors that I had shiitake's, and he went on this long tangent about the different theories of ancient mushroom use and religious myths... then he asked if I knew where to get "special, already dried ones that somebody grew". I was like "what are magic mushrooms?"
