in my opinion the US has fucked up pretty much every culture. we go off and build factories in asia because we can get away with paying the workers less and end up turning their country into a smog pit. the US has done some pretty fucked up things its a nation founded on greed. not good in my opinion :shrug:

And what great benefit would there be to western culture not existing? Life flourishes more easily on Earth? Bah and humbug. So what?, I say. The way I see it, there's only one thing that truly matters, and that is getting life OFF of this planet that has such limited resources to sustain it and has a limited time span in which it can support life, regardless of what anybody does or does not do.

What is 'white culture'? last time i checked, no race has a unified culture.

As a white dude born and raised in Canada, I do still have some ties to the culture of my grandparents/great grandparents from Europe, but i don't identify that as MY culture because i was never born there, and live an entirely different lifestyle.

The culture i was raised in really is just western culture with the Canadian/North American spin. Which we all must admit, is pretty fucked up. And that culture isn't based on race anyways.

So no American authors, musicians, playwrights, nothing Western has ever produced anything valuable? Shakespeare, Pink Floyd, Andrew Lloyd Weber, Rogers and Hammerstein, Walt Disney, none of it is in the least valuable?

Well, there comes a point in one's cognitive development when they begin to transcend ethnocentrism and see beyond the bounds of their own cultural perspective.  This is a healthy and positive thing as far as it goes, but some people take it too far.  The fact is that Western culture, and particularly white Westerners, have ascended to the top, and we ought to recognize that their ascendancy was not exactly the most peaceful process.  We ought to recognize this not so that we feel guilty, but in order to avoid an arrogant, blame-the-victim mentality.  We have to understand how things like slavery and colonialism have shaped the modern world and caused many of the problems we have today.  When we recognize this, we can get closer to solving those problems.

That is a culture in itself. You cant deny western culture, how we eat, dress, social norms and taboos, music, etc etc is all based on culture.
