I do not have cultures. My personal and professional life have kept me so swamped that I haven't even poured an agar plate or stuffed a straw bag in over a year, sigh. The grain spawn was a gift from Paul Stamets of Fungi Perfecti, his proprietary pwost white ostreatus strain. I gave the grain spawn to a friend (hand pictured in the lower photo) who is considering a startup gourmet and medicinal mushroom business.

The last time I saw Paul he was kind enough to offer fruit bodies. Talk about double yummy, Agrocybe aegerita, Maitake and Chinese Shiitake.
