Casings?

im about to case a rye grain jar and wanted to know...how much times a day do i gently mist the casing layer...and does it have to be in a sterile area when i mist?

im a noob so i dont know much bout bulk substrates but i was wondering if someone could give me a lesson on bulk.....i was about to case my rye jars into tuppaware containers with peat moss/verm.
