I asked my g/f about this the other day and she said to seriously take the number of guys the girl tells you about and multiply it by 5.

In OP's case that one guy that the girl "forgot about" was one she didn't mention. But seriously, whatever number she told you multiply it by 5 and you will be pretty close to the real number. I hate to think about it because honestly I've only slept with three different girls. I can't imageine being a girl and sleeping with 30+ people. I don't know if I'm jelious of girls or disguested by all the STD's that they probably have.

Most of my g/f's friends sleep with a different guy a couple times a week. Sometimes more than one guy per weekend. When they do get a BG and he pops the question they usually come up with a number that they don't think sounds so bad...

I only know all this because me and my girl have been together for a bit over 5 years and she tells me EVERYTHING.

In our day and age with women's rights, birth control, abortion, and laws which force males into responsibility for their children, it is irrational to expect a women to be held to a different standard as men when it comes to choosing sexual partners.  But on a primal, biological, evolutionary level, it makes perfect sense.

Women have evolved to have a limited supply of eggs and a drastic consequence when they choose the wrong partner (9 months of pregnancy followed by years of raising a child with an absent father and inferior genetics).  Men have evolved to have a virtually unlimited supply of sperm and no responsibility for raising a child with inferior genetics.

This double standard when it comes to male vs. female sexually is rooted in biology, and as much as we like to pretend, has little to do with tradition and sociological norms.

OP, do you love this girl or is she just someone you are fucking at the moment?

If you love her, it is extremely ignorant to give her grief over past transgressions.  If you are just enjoying the sex and company, well then why do you give a shit?

If you want to break up with her over it, then continue to be a caveman and perpetuate the ignorance of our species.  To paraphrase Nietzsche, "Mankind is something to be overcome".

OP, if you are over 18, at this point we are too late.  If you did't find a nice girl and hold on to her tight in highschool you lose, girls at this age have all had a lot of dicks at this point.  Took me a year to get over my gfs slutty past, but whatever she got STD tested, was clean, and she can fuck and suck a mean dick.  :shrug:
