Any Creatine updates recently?
    #11079937 -

I havent done much supplement shopping these last 2 years, any new creatine products/updates?

Last I remember BSN No-Xplode was pretty good, but I never knew whether micronized creatine was worth the cash; and I believe there was some discussion as to whether powder, liquid, or capsules were better. I also remember there were some cheaper creatine powders that had some good reviews.

Yeah, creatine definitely helped my workout routine immensely.  NO-Xplod is still one of the top supplements, in my opinion.  However, if you have a locally owned nutrient shop around (the local ones around here seem to be a lot more knowledgeable and helpful around here), I would definitely go in there.  They'll hook you up with whatever you need for whatever kind of workout very quickly.  You want to switch up every jar of it anyway, due to tolerance.  Right now I'm using some that is more like NO-vapor, no creatine in it, and it's the best I've used so far.  If I hadn't gone to a shop, I would've never heard of it.  They're definitely better than going somewhere like GNC (cheaper too).

Everyone's different; you really have to try all different kinds and see what works best for you.

If you liked NO-Xplod in the past, then you could go with that since it's been a while for you using supplements.  That stuff definitely works.  :lifter:

I still think that if you take creatine monohydrate after a workout where it's absorbed best, there isn't much of a difference between it and the designer creatines.

Controlled Labs Green MAGnitude is the best creatine supplement out there.

Best pre workout supplement would be either ALLMAX Nutrition's Muscle Prime, Gaspari Nutrition Superpump 250 or Muscletech Nano Vapor.

I have a friend that owns a store and I've literally used them all. They make a marginal difference so don't expect anything mind blowing. Much better than NO-Xplode. That's dated and absolute shit compared to the newer supplements, but people still act like it's a steroid in terms of effectiveness.

BTW, on the subject of steroids I'm cycling them again and will be on them for a long time. Pre workout supplements are still valuable. Not just for the stims, but the non-thermogenic stims, the focus enhancers and other tidbits like creatine. I could buy them desperately but it's a nuisance and I get them cheap enough to justify the cost.

browndustin, what do you say about AAKG, citrulline malate, and beta-alanine?

AAKG and CM are good, but I wouldn't purchase them on their own. They're great in pre workout concoctions.

Beta alanine is better than creatine in my opinion. And when I say I've tried every supplement, I mean that I've literally tried everything that's available. Most of it is pure shit. Creatine and beta alanine are the only supplements I'd purchase aside from caffeine and ephedrine. I do purchase pre workout supplements but mainly because they've got a ton of focus supplements, pump products and caffeine. It's too much to buy them separately and if I didn't get a discount I wouldn't buy them.

Beta alanine is amazing. You will literally feel yourself pumping out more reps. It's pretty nuts. Almost no supplement honestly delivers results like beta alanine. Best of all it's extremely safe.
