No. They are Panaeolus papilionaceus.

Do these occur amongst Liberty Caps too? I found a load more which must have been Panaeolus papilionaceus and thinking they were Liberty Caps, I ate them, with no effect.
What are the main differences between these two mushrooms, how can I find the ones containing Psilocybin?

Why do you eat random mushrooms before getting a safe ID? Good way to get yourself killed. Luckily there aren't any poisonous Panaeolus species. You'd be well advised to not test your luck too often however. Inner organ failure is an unpleasant thing.

I know, I thought I had done the correct ID testing. I'll continue looking elsewhere.
Thankyou for your help.

They kind of look like libs, but the white tips gives it away to Panaeolus papilionaceus.
this is just my experience looking at photos. I have yet to find libs in Tasmania, Australia. Its making me think they don't grow here and the list on here lies!

I am dead certain that Psilocybe semilanceata can be found somewhere in Tasmania. The climate should be ideal.

The two circled in the image below look like Liberty Caps, no? Bit hard to tell from the pic I guess..

They aren't Panaeolus papilionaceus, but they look more like Panaeolina foenisecii than Psilocybe semilanceata. Good catch, though.

I'm off hunting in Yorkshire on Saturday. Was in the Dales last week, shrooms out but no Libertys. Fingers crossed for this weekend!!
Please don't eat unidentified mushies, my mate ended up in hospital for two days doing that. Respect the shroom.
Tis the season to be very jolly. The hunt is on! Good luck.
