This is the beutiful scenery where i was looking for mushrooms... Colima's fire volcanoe... one of the worlds most dangerous...


2 beautiful fully mature p. Zapotecorum


A cluster of 4 P. Caerulescens, what a beautiful family


The whole harvest....


I took all these on an empty stomach... and im speechless one of the  best trips of my life... i could make a short astral projection.. maybe i need more mushrooms or more practice hehehe

i hope to have the chance to spend some time in southern mexico some time. my mother is trying to get together a two week trip to Chiapas in the next year.

If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

Yes im still alive... I only post in rainy season... to show my finds to make all of you envy hehehe...

just kidding... I think chiapas is a good place to search for psilocybes

Those look maybe a little different from most of the zapotecorum's we usually find, probably its just kind of mature.  There are at least two other interesting zapotecorum type species we found this year near that volcano, one has a rather sharp nipple and the other is really tiny.  Microscopy will be done on both collections soon.  Also Cactu found a collection of zapotecorum with smooth stems in a different area.

Chiapas has a fungus fair, you should try to go to that.  Show up a couple days early so you can collect and ID.

hehehe you know me, I like to partake them more than i like to see them in the microscope...definately each type of mushrooms has some slight diferences in the effect... they have their own spirit:mushroom2::cool:

You should come before rain stops... im going to river animas de tonila today or tomorrow... ill post the finds here, and save you some specimens that I find different species... is it okay with the sporeprint and dried specimen?

if it's just for the microscopy, there's no need for the pint, and dried specimen will do.

The river animas de tonila is heavily contaminated... probably i would have found some because the habitat is similar but... i wouldnt eat anything growing there... looked like a shithole
