Would you want to own Drion's Pill ?

i think suicide should be legal.  our current legislation is all a bi-product of christian dogma.

I think it should be widely available in the United States, so that those who want to commit suicide have the option of contemplating who (and what harm) they are leaving in the wake of a rash decision.

Deaths would spike for awhile, but then suicide stats would be much better than this...

My brother shot himself 5 years ago. We didn't get his life insurance money because of the legality. But we were still bound to pay off his student loans. That really sucked.

They throw you in a psych ward. Which is pretty much the same as jail.

Voluntary admissions in my state now have to follow the 30-90 day rule - same as involuntary. You used to be able to check yourself in and check out after you passed an eval.

They put a quick end to that...

I don't believe in suicide
if this pill WERE real
I think it should be limited for the individuals who suffer from incurable disease or as an alternative for those on deathrow

So this brings up an interesting point:  What restrictions (if any) should be placed on the practice, and why?

I'm not sure I agree with a blanket statement of legalized, and sanctioned suicide.

All suicide should be legal imo.

The world needs population control, why not let all the people who don't wanna live anymore kill themselves so there can be more space, food, water, and air to go around for the ones that actually want to live.

I would not want to own a death-pill. Just lookin' at it in my hand and knowing "this thing's only application is to end a life" ... nah thanks, man.

I mean, I'm not old as shit, so maybe in time my opinion might change, but right now I definitely wouldn't want it. And it's not like there aren't other ways to kill yourself.

"Suicide" is as legal as something can possibly be, you can't punish someone who's dead. What you want is for suicide to be facilitated.

the only problem is that you would be giving a huge amount of people poisonous pills, some could be used for murder
in the wrong hands. There should be a system set up if you want to end your life though(preferably over a certain age, but who am I
to say)

Not true. Failed suicide will get you locked up and successful suicide will null any life insurance you have.

The point is a law that can't be enforced is meaningless. People who fail at killing themselves usually never intended to do so anyway.

When people talk about "legalizing suicide" what they're really talking about is facilitating suicide, as in doing it for them.
